Spider Coccoon
There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D
Spodey! You coloured! :D And that's not a fail, pastels can be tricky and smudgey to work with XD Loads of fun but tricky and smudgey nonetheless. I think you did a pretty good job with them :)

An artist is one who like you, with basic elements obtains a beautiful work of art. I would like you to cast the corresponding shadow, that would give more value to his works, giving them that three-dimensional aspect and depth....
this is a good advice ! shadow would have made it better, yes ! but. i donno how to make shadows with these pastels XD

I suck at colouring traditionally so I feel your pain...this looks good though spidey! It kinda looks like an illustration from a story book page

Of course the sketch is nice too but there's some kind of shiny effect going on because of the colours, like they make the girl kinda glows? It's great :D.
Is that a fox or a doggo? Either way, cute head :D.

Ah, so proud to see this, you are pushing yourself outside your limits! Although you may not be in love with her now, if you keep her in a safe place for a while, you may change your opinion later on down the line. Keep experimenting and having fun, that's what it's all about, improvement will happen naturally in time ☺
For crayons, I find mixed media paper works well because it has a little bit of tooth that takes layers well. I also like it because it takes ink an pencil well too :D Plus it's affordable on amazon (or purse.io) and good for daily sketching. Here's the cover:
I've not used pastels with this paper, so I can't speak from experience. I feel it may work well for your needs. Take care!
