My Timeline is full of so much PewDiePie content. Clearly Dlive still gets on so many nerves after what they did on this platform. I guess we will have to find a way to co-exist in this crypto space, I'd love to say I wish them well, but I don't. I am still angry at how they handles things and how they did it. Honestly when it comes to the DLive thing, I am a loyalist and will never turn my back on Steem but, I have begun to understand why they need to move off of the Steem chain. I don't support their actions but I also see how they have become a more sustainable project by doing so. I say let them have PDP and if he can raise awareness for what is going on in the crypto space and social platforms at all its good for all of us.
I also would like to understand why they left? Cause right now I don't. But to be honest, my problem with them is in the way they left, not that they left. They could have been more civilized about it.
Why? Was their plan from the beginning possibly!
Essentially if you have never looked into the FUD surrounding Steem and the image we have from an external investor standpoint then you will not understand where our problems extend from.
Asking them to be more civilized is like asking two competitors to get along, not going to happen. For one to succeed the other must fail so they tapped into a market outside of Steem and low and behold found the success Steem and DTube have been failing to do since day one.... why are they failing? They do not understand their audience and users or simply don’t care.

Absolutely...he hast freaking 50milion followers! Steemit has what - 60k acitve users? If just 0.1% of his followers google what the dlive actually is and what's it's history, Steemit gets huge exposure anyway. I say good job @dlive!

Better than PewDiePie? He is literally the largest YouTuber of all time 93 million subscribers lol. PewdDiePie will come to this blockchain too, in the future ;) Stay tuned for my video tomorrow. The Ex returns to the spotlight, that is for sure!
But are they real followers? Nowadays you can buy just about anything. If he is the most paid Youtuber then than would make sense. But I get it, he's popular or famous and he would be a great asset for any platform.

Look into him lol. There has been a war between him and T-Series for months. The fans are real and have done amazing things to get him new real subscribers. It is an inspiring story.

I was just watching that vid from Ivan onTech, and hadnt heard of this Pewdiepie before then. So sad that Dlive left steem!
We may get a better DApp in future hopefully. All is not lost!

Superwoman has her own late night talk show on network TV, she's going full career mainstream - there's no way she'll even look at blockchains.
This dlive sponsorship should tell us only one thing - we need marketing.
We need to be securing big endorsements the same way Dlive has. As they are centralized they can better coordinate to achieve this, however we need to do something as well.
I made a video talking about how we could do this.
We need a dedicated group funded by the community whose job it is to secure sponsorships. They could become a curation trail specifically designed to whitelist major off platform creators and they could create ways to encourage them to transition over, in addition to getting them to endorse us.
We need to get big creators to take endorsements or else we'll be left behind to some extent.

I think that is what @Oracle-D does... They are always bringing in investors and unfortunately we don't get that kind of attention, or at least it doesn't last long. They signed a professional football player recently and there wasn't that much hype about it. Clearly there's a disconnect somewhere when it comes to marketing on this platform. We may need to borrow a leaf somewhere.
Ha ha I totally feel you, girl. I mean I get why people are a bit frustrated but giving it more energy doesn't serve any of us. We have so many amazing people at Steem. Let's all focus on what we do have, not what we don't! ❤❤
