Espousing Your Opinions As Facts
Espousing your opinions as facts do a disservice to your credibility and the credibility of the concepts you are trying to support.
When you conflate your opinion and the factual reality we presently live in, you are entering a rabbit hole for fallacies. The issue here is that someone who is very confident in their opinions or someone who has expert knowledge of the in-group, it is very likely that they can impress or manipulate anyone outside of that in-group. It could be as simple as the in-group of gamers and non-gamers to something more applicable like the in-group for politically informed and those who are uninformed.
Typically, this results in something like the alphabet soup fallacy which I previously shared was where someone uses terms to confuse or manipulate others with in-group knowledge such as using acronyms or language that is likely to be unknown to those in the out-group.

I am the only one in my family politically minded so it would be relatively hard not to do as it almost takes playing charades to get them to understand something they ask about...and believe me they don't want to ask unless it's something that affects them or is of high profile interest in the news.
Otherwise most anyone else I would engage with wouldn't be engaging normally if they also to weren't politically minded, opinionated, if they aren't on the same wave length with you it's pretty hard to conflate the issues but it does make for interesting debates.
That's very true and yeah I can relate to that. No one in my family or extended family has much interest in tech or politics, so being informed and not just wanting to talk about sports makes me the odd one out

People who often do this tend to get angry easily when someone expresses theirs. If yours should be taken as a fact, why do you disregard others. I don't do that though.
