Welcome to DTube! A few tips I learned helped was decompressing videos using a tool called handbrake. I personally use 720p "fast" mode and click web optimized. If you ever have any issues with uploading tag me and I will see if I can help out.

I was hoping you would find him Dan! He and I are fumbling with that very issue right now..and will use handbrake!
