The future of an augmented, smart media tokenized world will probably look quite strange...
I say that because in the future, every brand and product that you can engage with in the real world, will have a token associated with it.
You will receive tokens for engaging with content, experiences, and products.
The more you engage with a brand, the more that brand will incentivize you to engage with it.
Instead of coupons and discounts, you'll just collect tokens. The more tokens you collect, the cheaper things will be for you.
This concept becomes quite obvious when it comes to brand loyalty. Imagine how much you would commit to particular brands simply to save up that brand's tokens.
Can you imagine what it would look like if (for instance) Apple incentivized you to stop using Microsoft products?
Of course, governments and big data systems will want in on the action as well and thus, you'll be paid in tokens to share your daily living activity.
Your city will even hold events like "national water conservation day" where your water usage will be tracked and you'll receive a percentage of "city utility tokens" for participating and helping the city to achieve it's goals.
Thus, you'll have numerous (maybe even hundreds) of income streams that are all integrated into your modern day life.

@closedai yes, but limited by humans. The technology is very important for difficult activities or due to dangers and traffic.
@closedai it's my belief that a higher intelligence would favor harmony over control/domination. There's a lot of variables to this question though... if you think about a pet in a cage - why is it in the cage? Well, one might be so that it doesn't rip apart the furniture in your house, another might be so that it doesn't hurt itself. Will robots try to protect us in this manner? Time will tell... what do you think?
On the other hand: We are a higher intelligence to other species and favor control/domination over harmony. But you are right, robots might try to protect us and make us happy by maybe puting us in a cage and give us our dopamin dosis which makes us on a biological level happy. It all depends on the future of AI development.
Great point @closedai. When I wrote that about higher intelligence I hesitated a bit only because control and freedom are choices that tend to naturally come and go. Maybe at one point an intelligence will favor control and as circumstances change they may then favor harmony.
But if we do get the cages (lol) they will probably be in the form of VR headsets.

yup, exactly @zordon87. Strange but not too far from the truth. The world is stranger than we think!
Hopefully this becomes a reality, that would make the world more enjoyable but we need to work out first how to keep all these tokens safe and in 1 place to prevent them from being stolen, maybe dna based private keys lol
Agreed @lunaticpandora in terms of keeping them safe. That'll be a challenge for awhile. As far as making the world more enjoyable, I think there will definitely be a lot of benefits but there will also be a lot of challenges as well. Not sure if you saw my video as well but I hit on some of the dark sides of that.
