Dtube Snap: What is Appics? Should we use it? Let me know!
Lots of people have been talking about @appics recently on my #daily5 challenge post. I heard about them many months ago during their ICO phase. I haven't looked back ever since. I want YOU to sell me on it and if I should take another look at the project and dapp!

I've been using it since SteemFest and really like it. It has basically killed Steepshot for me, though I was never that big a fan of that anyway. The Appics developers and marketing team were at SteemFest and they were all very active, friendly and helpful, though that's to be expected I guess as they were there to promote their dapp. They also did a presentation, but I missed it. I think @neopch posted the full thing on his channel.
I got a good feeling about the team. I even went with them and @flauwy and @illucifer with @captainbob, @tibfox and @greencross to morning mediation with them at SteemFest and it was a magical moment.
The dapp still has gaps to be filled - it's not fully functioning yet, but it has never crashed on me and the interface is really easy to work with.
My personal experience both with the dapp and with the team has been positive, though I've heard rumblings that they're not fully committed to Steem. Rumours though. I've not researched this at all.
Thanks for the response man I appreciate it. Almost everyone below get super defensive and really jumped to conclusions on my reasoning for the title. I was serious, ive been in crypto a long time and when I first heard about this app I had concerns. This was like many months ago, even maybe even a year ago. The honeymoon is over I guess and was hoping someone would point me in the right direction.

In short, no. @appics is not a scam. However, You must keep in mind that the entire decentralized application blockchain space is about a year old. Steem Currently works for this decentralized application, but there are some issues regarding onboarding, scaling and teaching people about all the issues steem has.. no non technical person wants to hear about resource credits, or scaling issues.. they just want to post content.. that does not mean APPICS is fucked by any means, it just means the platform in which they develop on my change. Yes, they may leave steem.. but only to better develope the app for the community. And in that case, you should be happy as an investor to know that this project is flexible. RELAX, If you hold Appics tokens, they will be merged to the blockchain APPICS chooses to live on, come that time. Until then, use APPICS via STEEM, it works.

There was that many vlogs, blogs and article from SteemFest3 and most of them include info about Appics and you haven't spent a 20-30 minutes to check that out? Shame on you Man.

And dude, your video quality is awesome. What do you use to record your DTube videos? Sorry if you already mentioned, but this is one of the first videos I've seen from you, wait... I think I saw one of SteemMonsters a couple of weeks ago. Anyway I just wanted to point that out. Have a great week!

@appics and their team are really cool, the app might need some work still, but it is absolutely not a scam. They deliver what they advertise.
Their team are dedicated and professional as far as I can tell.
At least you got some engagement if that's what you were after, because I can't really understand why would someone use this kind of title...

Why should it be a scam? They already launched there Beta App and users are using it and creating content.
The team wants to release the SMT but since @ned needs more time with that...the whole project got delayed.
I like the Appics team and there project and hope that they will survive the crypto winter.

that clickbait title is disrespectful for the hard work of the @appics team they are doing every single day.
If you are not familiar with something then do your research, watch their presentation and then ask your question in a respectful way. Just like other users are doing here.
I use @appics from time to time - it delivers good performance (what is a no-go with steepshot imo) and they deliver a nice and fluid user interface (what is also a no-go with steepshot imo) and they are promoting steem around the world(!!) (I don't know if steepshot doing this in any kind of way).
They are a very engaging team and after a meet&greet in the @ddaily mansion at steemfest, I can say they have super deep knowledge and they care about fundamental problems of steem...

They are just marketing heavy, but I am not sure why would it be a scam. They wanted to innovate on what they could but also dont think is very deep in developers. Maybe that changed but I wouldnt give it much of a thought. I dont see a potential of scam at any point.
I first heard of appics when the ICO fever was in full swing so it was me just being cautious about anything new looking for investors. At this point it looks more legit than it did a year ago when I first heard of it when lots of people here were not even on steemit.
lol, this is actually a DtubeSnapQ , confusing stuff, huh? I don't understand Appics, especially when steepshot is around. From what I gathered Appics would be good if SMT were coming out. Unfortunately that has been halted.

Ned said on his last livestream, that SMTs are thrive focused goals, but not survival focus, which is what steemit inc. Is focusing on.
