Ecotrain- Who are more Culpable for inequality and injustice, the people who make the laws or the people who follow and enforce them?

in #ecotrain6 years ago

This week @ecotrian again comes up with an important question.

Who are more Culpable for inequality and injustice, the people who make the laws or the people who follow and enforce them?

The question is very thoughtful considering the prevelent instability and injustice in many country. Be it the Venezuelan democratic where people were forced to leave their own home or Syria or india or Nigeria or any other country . The ineffective laws that brings instability, uncertainity , injustice and intolerance to the country and.to the the people of the nation.

Who are more Culpable for such inequality and injustice, is a serious point of discussion. As everyone have their own prospective. The people in power are the real law maker who draft and make different laws for the country. In a democratic nation the people who are on top reaches to that level only through the people at the bottom.
Every country election process is such that people votes for the leader to make them reach to the consituition . A constitution is the framework of different different laws and policies, which are important for running the country.
In case people choses an inefficient and illiterate leader through voting then we will be responsible of any kind of suffering that came along such voting selection .
However, many a times people were also reluctant to changes. They are not adaptable to certain policies and laws that were enforced untill in long run they underdtood the real benefit of it.

So first of all It is the responsibility of the people to choose an effective leader who always work for the upliftment and betterment of the society through proper planning and drafting laws which are in favour of people and nation growth.

Intolerance due to corrupt government official are not to be tolerated for long. Any corrupt government will alwsys think upon themselves and their own benefits, rather than the society. The people will realize the mistake done on their part for choosing an ineffective leader. A corrupt official do not have the effective decision making skills to make a strong laws and policies for the country.

Rather continous suferring due to injustice and ineffective law, people should fight against such intolerance and bring in change to the top. Also, it is the responsibility to give certain time to get the laws reap its benefitz. Instead of facing suffering, it is good to take correct and accurate action.

Stay Calm....

The people in power are the real law maker who draft and make different laws for the country.

True.. but we the people (at least here in the US) vote these same people into that power. How they handle it, misuse it or comply with our wishes may be different things.

So does that mean we people keep suppressing under the wrong laws....afterall those sitting on top are not god ..they are humans only ..and mistake are bound to happen from humans .....so laws are not fulll proof that they going to 100 % right

super interesting question yes. I don't know if the laws themselves are the worse to enforce inequality, but if they do I would say they are equally guilty, those who makes them and those who follow and enforce them...

I think no one is perfect and it is the human who make laws..so mistakes are bound to happen. If people are not ok and feeling the pain due to wrong laws policies it is the duty to the people to get tgem corrected rather than keep supressing it.

People always want stable thing, by doing so they regard that we evolve and we need to shift our thoughts in a different way. Change is evolutions main attribute and we need to adopt it.

But adopting to wrong laws is not benefecial. It the humans who make laws and human may be wrong....

This is a very important topic to ponder. It sounds like you’re placing responsibility in the lap of the people, is this correct?

Enforcers sort of ride the line - are they considered part of “the people”, or are they merely extentions of lawmakers? It seems they are both.

Though the question is more about whether or not responsibility can be abdicated. Are lawmakers at fault for the actions of those who enforce their laws? If so, they are certainly not more at fault - each person has the power to choose their own actions.

Who bombed Hiroshima? The president? The American people? They both hold some measure of culpability, but it is the pilot who actually dropped the bomb that holds the most responsibility.

A command is just adding more air to the breeze if no one will carry it out. Hitler could not march across Europe alone. Responsibility can never truly be abdicated, and just following orders is never an excuse for anything.

This goes for voters too. When you vote, you are saying ”I condone this person making law which others must obey, under threat of violent punishment”. Do you have a right to make such law for others? If you do not have that right personally, then you cannot validly delegate that right to someone else. Doing something by proxy of another does not change the moral nature of an action. Voting itself is an immoral act which each must take responsibility for.

But ultimately, enforcers hold more responsibility than anyone else in this equation.

Thanks @bbblackwell for your so deep insight on the topic.
While writing it i was thinking of the situation prevailing in my country. Where votes sells for few bucks or for few peg if whiskey. Any criminal, illiterate any goons can get the ticket to contest the election and people support such people without any logic or because these people offer them some lucrative benefits.
How you gonna rely on such people criminal , illiterate that they gonna make a good law framework of the country.?...people brought them to power without much thought on the outcome...it was just my thought but hard to make people understand.

That is very dangerous. Political office is a licence to have your will imposed on the people. No one is a suitable candidate for that, but the obviously criminal are particularly perilous.

What country are you from?

Well said! The people who follow and enforce unjust laws are just as immoral as the politicians that pass them. Maybe even more so. But people think having the politicians sheds their responsibility, but we are still ALL responsible.

Thanks @derekrichardson it is primarily our responsibility to choose the best candidate to who can tske care of the people. It is all about common man.
