To be honest - I don't know that steemconnect provides the best way to use the Steem blockchain to power websites. You're relying on a 3rd party service at that point for your authorization and are completely out of luck when it's down. You are also authorizing someone else to actually use your account... which some may not like either.

It's always something that can be added at a later date - but right now not depending on it is a plus in my book.

In v1 it did not allow beneficiaries... apparently v2 will allow beneficiaries. It's also a new project, so we'll have to see if @jesta wants to add that functionality.

I know he is aware of it. 5 months ago he mentioned it in a reply, so we'll see.

(as of 3 days ago, he's currently working on moderator roles for forums to share in rewards, I think all rewards will be adjusted as things get more popular with chainbb. If you want to help chainbb continue to be popular, allowing 15% of your posts going to the project is an easy win for it to happen)
