The first thing that I see when I am looking at this National Museum is just how incredibly beautiful and ornate it is! The musician welcoming people just added to the charm.
How nice that they had the free cultural performances most of the day I can see me two men holding the marionette or puppet. This looks like an absolutely wonderful event and I am so happy that you got the chance to attend. As usual the Thai food looks amazing! And the flowers are beyond beautiful. I love the pictures hugs the guys at the public theater and it looks like there was dancing going on also! Thank you so much for putting together such a beautiful post and a wonderful time!

Yes, I was very glad to be there absorbing the atmosphere. This is a special occasion sponsored by the new King. Thai people just love this kind of free festival where older people have a chance to dress up in old Thai costume. I think people are longing for the good old days!

I think what you say is true. I know that my grandparents were always longing for the olden days as they used to call it. Perhaps it had to do with being younger or perhaps it had to do with being an easier, more carefree time.
Yes! I am starting to long for less complicated and slower pace of life ten years ago! The days when I had time to travel to seaside towns and go to the gym as often as I could!

Oh, yes!! Family and obligations certainly take up a good part of our life, squashing out the freedom. Yes.
