Vote for the @blocktrades worker proposal poll. For now: I recommended donations only.
Take 2 seconds to vote for the @blocktrades worker proposal poll here.
I wrote my ideas about the whole thing: here.
When the Steem Proposal System (SPS) was announced everyone instantly started to think about where the money was going to come from to fund the proposals and forgot to ask the most basic question of all: Do we even need this?
I have been asking around and nobody has been able to give one good example of why we need this. One example proposal that would make it clear why the SPS (Steem Proposal System) will provide more value to Steem that can't be added today.
For me it makes sense to first ask these simple questions.
I would recommend you vote for donations only (instead of the other option that will take a substantial percentage of the reward pool, most likely author rewards) for now until someone can explain to you why this is needed.
And in the meantime go and ask for some good examples of proposals.
Things that make you go: "aaa yes, I get it now".
I will do the same. And if I find them I will share them here. I have no problem changing my opinion/mind when I learn new facts.

They need it to “tax” the peasants (authors like us). 🤣

I agree with you.
In this way, only few big whales can take advantage of the system and will receive donations or whatever from little authors. Another way for big groups to create projects & earn tons of steem.
Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!
Thanks for writing this post today @exyle... and this isn't a generic spam thanks comment 😉 I'll tell you why...
I read the blocktrades proposal post when it first came out and honestly was pretty cheesed off by it at the time... but rather than write a reactionary comment I thought, let it settle and come back to it.
Then I completely forgot about the whole thing 😂
Your post reminded me to return and make my opinion known & I voted for 'donation only' for one simple reason. I believe that if they put this through they will take from author's rewards, and rewards are the primary draw for new users. If this happens we will destroy our already shaky USP. Steem marketing doesn't need any more negatives, we need positives like the Twitter marketing campaign I'm a part of, or increased community engagement with new users posts.
But rather than write another mammoth comment, I'll link to my comment on blocktrades post in case you wanna check it out.

Thanks again for reminding me to make my voice heard

What about people that are delegating their SP, their vote will be worthless?
I didn't like this proposal because it reminded me too much of government "make work" programs.
This post has been included in the latest edition of SoS Daily News - a digest of all you need to know about the State of Steem.
Very interesting. A lot of this has been over my head because I just haven't been able to wrap my mind around it. It seems like part of it is just throwing out buzz words and concepts hoping that they will get people to blindly jump on board. Maybe they need to have a SCRUM about it all :)
