Those are so cute! We use to do all sorts of salt dough projects when my daughter was little. Decades later we still have some Christmas ornaments. That stuff really does last forever especially with a spritz of clear coat.

I need to grab the clear coat stuff and lacquer it up for safe keeping as I would hate to go back and see it rotted, someone mentioned that happened to theirs. I hope to do one each year and see the growth in his little feet haha.
Yes that happened to some of mine also. The ones that were clear coated have held up very well. Made them in the early '90s.
I think that is a really sweet idea by the way.
