These were the best photos I could find, I love these birds as they are so free...
They are such beautiful birds! I know hawks eat crows and often raid crow nests and eat their young, so I know that crows try to chase the Hawks away, but I have never heard of them killing one. That is really sad.
I've never heard of a redtail hawk eating a crow, or going after their nests, I watched them snag squirrels at the yard that I worked at...
but they are all over the San Francisco bay area here.
I watched the redtail sit in redwoods about 5 feet down from the top, and the crows would dive bomb it and get as close as they could; also in the communication tower...

Hey @jamerussell, how are you? I haven’t seen you around, and I’ve missed your wonderful artwork, and you also my friend! I happened to think about you this evening, and I found this post to put a howdy do message on. This is a very sad story, but I loved how you took the time to bury this beautiful birds body. Your a very kind, and tender hearted my friend. I greatly admire a persons compassion, and humanity towards nature, and others. Thanks for sharing ❣️
I have missed you also @lildebbiecakes! If you ever get on Discord server, please look me up, I go into the Steem Terminal frequently, and up until now for a little while have been doing the heyhaveyamet workups.
That has been taking up quite a bit of my time, it's sort of like working on graphics, it's exercising my ingenuity, imagination and increasing my skill level.

Here’s a “Red - tailed Hawk, I drew for you my friend. I was inspired by you to draw one. I also entered it in a “Artstorm contest” today as well, because the “Theme” was called “In The Forest.”
I hope you like it, it doesn’t replace the real hawk you admired so much, but It does tell you that I care❣️

I have a blackberry bush in my backyard, and it makes some sweet blackberries, as long as it gets the sun!

I'd like to have gotten one of the hawk on the communications tower, as he did like to sit there quite a bit, but never was able to capture that one...

Yes @torico, I sort of had a little bond with this particular bird, and could recognize it like a friend; but this is a part of life...
Teaches us to love and enjoy what we have in the now, because it won't be here for long...
