What are the three most important things that should be taken into account in this platform to do it right?

1. Don't go around crying and begging for upvotes and followers. Let it come naturally;
2. Avoid falling for the Follow-for-Follow tactic. You'll end up with a lot of crappy content in your feed and a lot of egotistical followers;
3. Don't despair if your posts have very few rewards and don't go all in at first. Start simple... and increase the complexity of your posts as you gain more followers. It's normal that in the first months your rewards will be very little, no matter how good your content is;
4. Interact with others a lot, by answering on the comments made in your posts and going around making comments in other people's posts;
5. Explore other Steem interfaces such as https://steempeak.com or https://busy.org as it's much simpler to make posts there than in SteemIt.com.
