RE: Murderous Intent: A Fifty Word Story

You cut it up first? I half them, scrape guts, put on baking sheet cut side down, and bake for an hour or two or more depending on size until it's soft. Then peel off skin or scrape pulp out and mush with stick blender.

So far i am drying seeds for next year but will roast from the next batch. 3 small baby pams gave me about 8 cups of firm pulp.

Nope, I usually do it your way: but I had an excitable crew who wanted to cut it up, so cut it up they did.

I usually throw the pulp in the food processor and blend it smooth if I'm going to be baking, or just mash with a fork if serving for dinner.

I think we're getting about 10 - 12 cups from the big pumpkin we did. It was $2.50 at Aldi. I'd say that's a lot of bang for the food buck.
