That looks delicious @molometer.

Sounds like you had a lovely family day. There's nothing better than that. 😊

True it was a lovely day and food was delicious. We were celebrating two birthdays. :)

We have family birthdays that come close together too. In fat they all fall between December 21st and April 25th which I always feel a bit miffed about. It's like we have a load of celebrations all in 4 months and then that's it for 8 months. 😢

And mother's day and Easter fall in that time frame too!

That's a pretty hectic schedule but I suppose you do get 8 months off lol

Well that's one way of looking at it @molometer but I love or family get togethers and it would be so much better if they were spread out throughout the year.

Should be grateful for what I have I suppose! 😂

We have a load of birthdays around December to March so it seems you are not alone in frequency terms. :)

Maybe it's quite common then @molometer. John's mum has nine grandchildren and all of them have birthdays in either September or March. 😱

wow this must be really delecious i love it, hope if i can taste it, hope you enjoy.

Do they have Turkish food in your part of the world? If so you should try it. :)

Fantastic shots, Molometer:) Great color:)

And super tasty too. We had a great lunch.

We’re like Turkish food too, but haven’t had it since we moved to NC. We haven’t discovered any Turkish restaurants here. Of course, here, there are actual Persian restaurants, while there were not any in MO. The cuisines are kind of similar, maybe the Turkish spices have a bit more heat. My husband loves loves loves the tea.

What was that dish pictured? It looks detectible.

It was a mixed grill of chicken, lamb chops, ribs, sliced lamb and a whole bunch of spiced sausages on top of Bulgar wheat and rice. It was quite a feast.
