One man was sitting in the boat and driving it, the others were walking along the shore, pulling the boats by the ropes. They left not for one day, but it was safe. In winter, they brought fish to the city on horseback, by train. So it was from the decade to the decade.

Fish production allowed to live decently. My mother told me that my father from Tomsk brought me a roll of money, clothes and shoes for older children, and there were nine in all, some products, for example, sugar, sweets. Sweets were stored in a grandmother's trunk when she needed something to get, the children surrounded her - everyone needed candy or sugar. Another power came.

The villagers still extracted fish, especially many, during the war, the front had to be fed. Friends told me that my grandfather Ivanov Kasyan Vasilievich, especially different, in a local newspaper he was called a leading man. Then the settlement was declared to be unpromising, and now on that place, except that the beekeepers keep their apiaries. But the passion for fishing in descendants in the blood, I mean my father and son.

We have many reservoirs in the region, and since almost every man is an aspirant, the majority of the fish have fish. Mistress can cook any: pike, carp, bream, roach ... Tasty and useful. My son went back to the river again in April to see whether the ice melted, whether the ice drift had started, whether the water had risen ... A few more days passed. Finally we have a fish - a crucian. Large, it's good, I'll cook three dishes from them at once. I cleaned the scales, I cleaned the insides, mine. I cut off the head, tails, fins, it's on my ear. There are a lot of bones in the backs and near the tails, very small, we do not like it.

I cut the fillets from the backs, from the tails, too. It will go for cutlets. Ribryshki I fry, having rolled in flour, on a frying pan, on vegetable oil. If you want the fish to be more tender, cover the frying pan with a lid. Of course, salt and pepper. With cutlets will have to tinker.

Fish I pass through a meat grinder two times, in the second - together with onions, put, how many it is not a pity. In the stuffing put still grated carrot, cheese, salt, pepper, egg, greens on a small grater. Cutlets are very delicious.

Sounds wonderful! I would eat fish every day if i could, but here they are not so plentiful and the catch limits are low.

Do you sometimes dry, or salt, or smoke the fish so that they will last a long time? When I spent some time in Eastern Ukraine, I know the people there loved dried fish.

Yes, there is a way to dry fish. I do a lot of salt on the fish, it lies 3 weeks to die opisthorchiasis under the scales. Then I soak the day and hang it on a strong wind. Fish is obtained with tender meat is not salty at all. Another way is hot smoking. Fresh fish I rub with spices and salt. In a barrel I kindle a fire, when it flames up, I cover the ash-pit, I throw a bunch of bird cherry branches on the fire, I put the grate on the top and put the fish on it. Come to Siberia we go fishing.
