Perrin Brewing
We are making it a habit to take a day trip on Saturdays. These trips typically are finding a good place to hike and finding a better place to drink. This weeks post hike beers are at Perrin Brewing Company! PerrinIs one of Michigan’s larger breweries which features a great selection of craft beer and upscale bar food.
After staring at their menu for a few minutes I could not make up my mind I’m just one beer so I could not resist a flight of Roeselare, Perrin Fiesta, Soops Joos, Intergalactic Space Bear and Push Hop NEIPA - Strawberry
Roeselare is a beautiful beer as you can see with the reddish hue. Aged for one year this is an elegant and complex sour ale. It’s a little sweet and packs a huge sour bite while still being able to not overwhelm the taste buds.
Perrin Fiesta is jet black in color. This is their take on the barrel aged coffee cake stout. There
are loads of spice and malt which give this beer its interesting taste. I’m not a huge spiced beer fan so this was a little overwhelming for me. However, this beer is highly rated.
Soops Joos is their first double dry hopped New England IPA. it’s hoppy and juicy with loads of citrus and pine bite.
Intergalactic Space Bear is by far the one if the best names for a beer. This beautiful beer is a collaboration with Arktos Meadery. They crafted this NEIPA with 3 different types of honey and hop variations. This combo gives a sweet yet hoppy finish that was excellent towards the end of the flight.
I finished the flight with the Push Hop NEIPA - Strawberry. This was a refreshing and lighter beer that has sweet strawberry notes. This can only be described as summer in a glass.

That is something that could make me get into road trips. I am more about the destination than the journey and a brewery as a destination is right up my alley.
When I first saw that flight, it looked like pint glasses from the perspective give and scale. I was thinking I may need a driver if I were to finish that flight.
One thing for sure, when I get over the border(was as close as downtown Windsor this weekend,) I just have to go back through your blog to find some good destinations.

It’s probably in the top three breweries in the state. They flights are actually decent sized. It’s like 8 oz glasses. My wife was kind enough to DD as some of these beers had wicked ABV. Feel free to message me on discord if you are I the area.

It was one of the better beers of the flight. I wanted to like the fiesta the most, but it was not doing it for me.
