Rule number 1 is to always keep quiet and only listen to teacher.

Rule number 2 is to keep your pee pee inside when the teacher is teaching.

Rule number 3 is no laughing or talking in the class.

Rule number 4 is to be silent all the time.

Rule number 5 is only teacher can talk, while teacher is talking, no asking questions.

Rule number 6 is never drink water in the class.

Rule number 7 is to listen and listen and listen.

Rule number 8 is to copy and just copy.

Rule number 9 is to never snap back when teacher is talking.

Rule number 10 is to be proactive in class, raise up hands to ask questions if don't understand.

Obviously, rule number 10 will not happen due to all the other rules. All those only produce students who dare not think out of the box and only be under the robot-control by teachers. And students not allowed to go toilet seems unreasonable for me. No wonder my son dare not drink water at school recently. Haha.

But above all else, my husband and I were from the same education system too, and we taught our son when to drink water so that during recess time, the pouch is ready to eliminate the water.

I am praying for a change in the approach of our education system. To be more inclusive rather than 'dictatorship'. I know it is not easy to handle a class of 40 students. The noises, laughter and chit chat is beyond control but I think there is a way. I am not against teacher. I honor them and I know it is not easy task. So I will continue to pray for our nation's education system to have an overhaul.

Is there a place for rule? Of course! But, if you don't allow the students to go washroom to attend to the call of nature, they might pee in the pants. Or skirts.
