My 5 Minute Freewrite Day 357 "Freedom of Personal Power"
How would you define freedom of personal power? How is it different than just freedom?
This is the question I asked Marianne, and maybe there's not as simple of an answer as I had first thought to these questions. Isn't there just freedom, which no one truly has?
Freedom of personal power, I guess, is just the ability to control yourself and your own actions. To some extent, we all can control our actions, but there are limits to what we can do based on our resources and our physical and mental abilities.
I must be honest that I think this is a terrible prompt, and I'm sorry that's what's going through my head right now, but this is a freewrite and I'm trying to be honest to the process. I don't really think it's terrible, I'm just struggling to come up with anything of value to write about based on a concept I really don't understand.
Are there different types of freedom? If you have to break it down into categories, then it's not really freedom. Freedom of speech exists because there are other "freedoms" that we don't have -- so doesn't that mean that we don't have freedom at all?
Freedom is "the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint." Who has this? Certainly no one in the U.S. (not even the President) and no one that I know. And should anyone have "freedom" in this sense? I don't believe so. It's possible that freedom is dangerous. Not the freedom that you and I believe in, but the actual essence of freedom.

Hey @michaelluchies. Using the word freedom by itself can take you in a multitude of different direction, However when the word freedom is connected to the subject of personal power then it takes on a whole new meaning. The meaning I got was just the opposite of what you spoke about. I did not see it as having control over one's self only. Although control is apart of actualizing personal power, what I saw was no limits to that power, that personal power is not blocked or hindered by resources that we don't appear to have. when we tap into our personal power that statement becomes resources we don't have yet but we anticipate having all that we need when we need it. Also having physical limitations is not the end of anything, as a matter of fact, our personal power goes beyond our body. If I had no legs I can sit in a wheelchair and focus on what I need and the ideas would surface on how to get those needs met or the right people would show up to assist me.
Sorry for the rambling on this is just my take on freedom of personal power. But like @mariannewest said you can write whatever you like..

Honestly if there is anyone that has this, that person is slightly above human, i don't think Angels have such freedom, the last Angel that sought after such freedom turned Devil...
