Gaming is in our blood just like the famous meme says: "The life is not a game but gaming is my life". It's not a secret that gaming consoles such as Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PS4 are the no-brainer choices for gamers to have the best graphics experience. But as the time is passing, we are seeing new versions of both Xbox and PS4 and the importance of comparison and making the right choice has increased a lot.

It's 2018 and if we look in the market, Sony is trying to outsmart Microsoft but Microsoft is still one step ahead of Sony at the moment. Looking at the demand of comparison between Xbox and PlayStation, It seems like people want to select the console with best gaming experience otherwise if it was just the matter of cost, then there would be no such demand of this comparison. Though the price still matters!

If you're not living in the desert, you'd know that Microsoft has two different versions of Xbox: Xbox One X and Xbox One S. And because Sony is the competitor of Microsoft, so they did the same with PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim. Now with this minor differences in name, it is difficult for an average person to choose which one to buy and If you are also one of them, then let's learn the difference between them together.

Price Comparison Between Xbox One X vs PS4 Pro:

The price plays an important role in choosing from the options. For rich people, it might not play a significant role but for average people, this factor can the vital role.

According to Walmart, the Xbox One X is costing around $499. On the other hand, the PS4 Pro is costing around $399 in the same store. There's a difference of around $100 in both consoles' price.

Graphics Comparison Between Xbox One X vs PS4 Pro:

It was claimed in the early stages that Xbox One X provides better graphics but when the actual comparison was made between Windows 10, PS4 and Xbox One X, there was a minimal difference that didn't worth any kind of attention, to be honest. Who's going to scale the screen 1,000 times just to see the difference? At least gamers won't do that.

To be honest, I couldn't tell much difference in the graphics of both consoles.

Xbox One Exclusive Games Can Be Played On PC :

Well, what is the use of Xbox One or Xbox One X if you can play the same games on your PC? No thanks! Microsoft is making a big mistake, are they nuts to release the same game on PC with nearly same graphics? I think that's probably why most people prefer PS4 Pro instead of an Xbox One X. Also, PS4 has a much higher reputation and deals with major game publishers, and most of the times, the games release on both platforms at the same time and if there is no significant difference in graphics, then I won't suggest Xbox One to you.

To be honest, the first console I bought was Xbox and it was 8-10 years ago. We were confused whether we should buy PS2 or Xbox. The main reason of our hesitation was the number of games that were less for Xbox at that time but we chose Xbox due to the name of Microsoft. We enjoyed a lot but just after a year, we were bombarded with the news that new version of Xbox called "Xbox 360" is released and whoever has the previous version of Xbox is *ucked up!

Nowadays, the gaming console war continues and there are far more people who are confused what should they buy, just like I was confused 10 years ago with my first purchase. I hope this article will be helpful in deciding which one is best for you.

Fundamentally, Microsoft’s major issue is their software development strategy. They started off the 360 generation stunningly. Then, around the middle of the gen, they just took their foot off the pedal. It seems like they thought they had the entire market sown up and didn’t need to put anything else in other than servicing Halo/Gears/Forza.

Sony’s success this generation wasn’t just down to luck. Yes, they got the hardware to mass market pricing down, but their software strategy is what is doing it. They got this far by busting their buns throughout the PS3 generation continually rolling out unique titles. Let’s be brutal - a lot of it was merely ok. But it gave a sense of investment into the platform and people really warmed to it. When it came to this generation, they were already running.

Microsoft seem to be doing everything apart from making software. I’m not sure if the X was an attempt to wrest the third parties back, but it isn’t going to get anywhere near doing that.

What is the most talked about console of the moment? The Switch. The least technically proficient of the three. Microsoft need to stop cancelling games and start getting some unique titles out. They are a middling Halo or Gears away from being in some serious trouble. The spotlight is already on them. The ace in the hole may be their game subscription service, a truly disruptive method of tapping into the market.

Excellent description and that's true about the Switch.

I'm saving up money to buy PS4 pro and there are many reasons for that. The graphical difference is not really a factor and it doesn't really matter for me cuz there's not a lot of difference like you've said and it's hard to notice it. I choose PS4 pro, because I'm much more interested in the exclusive games they provide and I think they are much more entertaining and fun to play. The price is also much better than XBOX and for a person like me, it's a pretty big factor in the decision. Also, playstation has a much better reputation than XBOX. I remember when XBOX ONE was announced and all the features were simply way worse than what PS4 announced at that time.

Those are good reasons too.

Please resteem any of my post
thabks in advance

I would say Xbox One X even tho im not a xbox one fan, because of the compute power it has, but if you dont care about graphics but gameplay ether one could do but some gameplay features may need more compute power to work the best.

Just purchased a second hand ps4 after being a PC gamer for many years. I have to say that it is really nice to be able to chill out on the couch and play. My friend has an Xbox and the biggest frustration is that their networks are seperate. It would be really nice if in some way both the xbox and ps4 networks could join and allow the console players to play together

They need some sidechains to join forces, like cryptocoins. :)

I’ve never like the position of the analog sticks on Sony’s standard controller. For me, the XBox config is better and that was the only reason I picked it over PlayStation in the past.

So when you decide to buy one of the two devices should pay attention only to what suits you and suits your needs and the most important point as I mentioned in comparison is the issue of games, try to give yourself more time to make the right decision, and do not pay attention to what is said that this platform better than any other platform The tough competition between the two platforms has forced Sony and Microsoft to fix errors, improve performance and meet users' expectations in a quick and efficient manner. Your article is wonderful thank you for clarification. I wish you my dear brother more success

Ive abandoned both and am using PC power instead. Nothing like 1080 ti 4k oled!

Pc will always be better. and you can build a pc for the same price as a tv, console. and remotes.

I love Ps4 more than Xbox. The graphics and easy pad gives delightful gaming experience
