The game also has several arena areas that unlock the further you venture into the game. These areas are horde style places, where you either have to save hostages or fight off waves of enemies.

This will definitely familiarize the player with the combat styles and facilitate improvement, I can go hours sometimes, fighting off waves of enemies in games.
