I have a similar saw but its mounted on a extendable fiberglass hand so i can get high up branches with it aswell.
That's a good idea for taller trees. I keep my fruit tree small, so I can do most of my pruning standing on the ground.
fruit trees i let get as big as they want lol the bigger they get the more fruit they bring :)
