Dookie out! Haha, that was great man. First video I've seen of yours but I enjoyed it! You look like a different person after that shave man! And hmmm... one time I wish I was proactive instead of reactive... Probably when I got to Australia last year. My original goal was to get a job right away and start saving up some money. Unfortunately, after getting there I found out the Australian tax ID service was down, and in order to get a job legally you need a tax ID number. This kinda sent me into a slump and didn't do much about it until I had less than $100 in my bank account! I was quite broke when I arrived, lol. Anyways, I wish I would have been more proactive in that situation, instead of reactive and being forced to find a job in such a financially tight situation! I got really lucky and ended up getting a job at a hostel that I walked into to stay at, and I could only afford two nights totally before I would have been out on the streets! Crazy lucky and good timing for me. :)

Yea I never really though about the whole reactive/proactive thing. Man a trip like that to Australia sounds quite intense. Glad everything worked out for you in the end. How was Australia though I've always wanted to visit.

It was a great experience over all. Really beautiful countryside there. :)

I can believe it. I actually have a family friend who lives there and she loves it. Shes invited me to stay with her whenever I want and as much as I would love to go there sadly its currently out of my budget to go. One of my dreams is to go diving on the great barrier reef. It looks so beautiful there and I love diving. Hopefully one day soon ill find myself there. I'm glad you had a great experience even with your difficulties.

Wow that must have been hard! I live in Australia too, where abouts are you? Glad it all worked out in the end though and you could reflect on it!

I'm back in the States now. Florida. But I lived in the St Kilda area of Melbourne for 6 months. :)

I believe abrasive situations shape the raw diamond in all of us. We must not let it go to the point where we slack out everything till the last moment, you know... living on the edge.

Glad it worked out for you man, I know what you have passed first hand!.

Cheers

@greencross

That's such a great way to put it. 'shape the raw diamond in all of us.' Beautiful!! And I 100% agree with you on that. Thank you man. :)

Congratulations @jordanpike you are the fourth approved contestant for my giveaway!

You really are very lucky in that situation to found a place to stay while you worked out your financial situation. Travelling definitely is one of those times where being overly proactive pays off in the long run. I don’t think being in another country where I couldn’t work would be an easy situation to deal with, rather that would drive me towards a breaking point. Good on you for keeping it together!

Cool! And I appreciate that D00kie. Honestly man, I barely held it together. I think it's the closest I've ever been to going crazy. It was really hard! :( But I made it through and I'm happy now. :)

Wow! You look good with a shaved head. Nice video and a shaved head is a good way to keep cool in a hot environment for sure!

Thanks man I like it too, some people say I look to aggressive with a shaved head so I try grow my hair out just a little but I think this year with how hot it has been already I will have to keep it this short all year!

Hahaha if the final looks good but such a radical cut I would have liked more with the short hair not with the head completely shaved hahaha but if you are right very good video I entertained me bastante watching as he just took off all his hair hahahaha

I’m so glad you found my video entertaining, yeah that is a drastic change but for me I think it’s necessary

OMG! What madness you look very nice with your hair so long I have been surprised by your radical change, and also the beard that sometimes is the hook hahaha not looked so bad, but very timely if you have problems with the heat take a little hair is not wrong hahaha but not as much as you have done hahaha with the head so smooth you do not look so bad, coincidentally tomorrow I will cut my hair but only the tips sometimes need a short to remove the damaged tips very important to take care of the hair but that if I would not dare to make a radical cut hahahaha. I liked the video at the end and one gets used to look in a way so that you already well hahaha greetings

So you're being reactive by cutting your tips AFTER they've been damaged @kkarenmp? :P I need a fresh cut myself! My hair is wild right now! Lol. I feel like Dora the Explorer. I recently had my brother just cut the curls off the back of my head and now it's all even length all the way around, and way too thick! xD

Congratulations @kkarenmp you are the third approved contestant for my giveaway!

Thank you I do have a nice round head I’m told!

So you are reacting to my video by proactively cutting your own hair, I like that one!

Wow nice smooth shave dookie! I always wondered how easy it was to nick yourself with the clipper. I’ve been cutting my hubby’s hair for years and been getting better at it but I use the attachments so it’s not too close to the skin and it cuts off to a certain length.

I think I always react when it comes to hair cuts or hairstyle changes.. but last week I did consider getting my hair cut as it was getting so long and it’s so cold(in winter) to wash it and dry haha. My hubby didn’t want me to cut it as he liked my long hair but I said maybe if I do a dookie haircut when I get a certain amount of followers then I can cut it haha.. at the moment I have 200... he says to wait till I have 500 but that’s a looong wait! I’m not sure how long I have to wait and what if I get really frustrated with my hair then I’ll be doing a reaction haha.

So that’s a reactive proactive resulting in a possible reactive if you get what I mean hahaha

I love it. Set a milestone and celebrate! 500 followers will be a significant achievement, and you may get there quicker than you think. If you do decide to get a d00k13 hairdoo, I would expect THAT to be a pretty popular video :)

Haha not sure about a full shave lol. More a diy hair cut - still a girl cut, it’s winter 😝
I’m sure it’ll be a huge statement for sure haha

Congratulations @vincy you are the first approved contestant for my giveaway!

I was trying to be quick for the video so I didn’t have to compress it too much thus I ended up nicking my neck a little, my clippers aren’t meant for facial hair but I have never done that on my head. The facial hair was an afterthought 😝

I would suggest doing build up every 100 followers do something small saying when you get to 500 you will do something big!

I gets yea, reacting proactively I like that!

Keep cool with new hair, Lol
Keep spirit my friend :)

I really like this video! I have to say that I thought the contest was going to be like an icebucket challenge thing to shave my head. I already had a plan for how to pull it off, but then realized that it's just a comment (and more comments). So...

A time when I was reactive, but wish I had acted first. Hmmm.

This probably happens to me most often when I procrastinate. I don't tend to default to action in any particular circumstance, I'm more of an information gatherer and a consider all the implications type of person. Usually that works out pretty well, and there's some balance to acting decisively once I know the score. However, If I just put something off because I don't want to do it, kind of textbook procrastinating, I often find later that the scramble to finish leaves me with a desire to have acted sooner, to have been proactive.

One distinct example of this is draining the carbs and gas tank in my motorcycle. If it gets put off, the ethanol based fuel gums up the works. I have to disassemble and clean everything, put it all back together, spending hours tweaking and fiddling with the thing to get it working correctly. If I had dealt with it earlier, it would have taken 15 minutes and everything would have been fine.

Congratulations @toddmck you are the second approved contestant for my giveaway.

Yeah I had considered doing a challenge where other people shave their head, maybe I’ll reach out and challenge some people but I figured doing it on a comment basis would help to increase interactivity on the post.

Oh I know about motorcycles in storage, after I stored my scooter last time being that it’s a two stroke and you have to mix the gas with oil all the oil separated and plugged the fuel lines of all things which after I ran it gummed up the carburetor and I had to take it into the shop to get them to rejett it and put in a new float as that had corroded because I didn’t drain everything correctly 🤦‍♂️ I learn the hard way!

Lol you really look good @d00k13

Thanks dude you’ll see a lot more of me with a shaved head I’ll be rocking it all summer!

It's OK sir
I am a relationship expert/ life coach
you can check on me at your own convinte time thanks.

I will do that
thank you for taking the time to check out my giveaway post, if you would like to participate all you need do is comment of a situation that you were either reactive or proactive and you will be entered in for the giveaway currently it looks like each contestant will earn approximately 1.5 SBD but as we get more contestants it will be divided evenly.

wish I had been proactive in 2010 when I first heard about bitcoin!

Congratulations @greencross you are the fifth approved contestant to my giveaway!

I think all of us here that did not get in the beginning share in that opinion, I am just glad I got in during September and took the opportunity in December to take some profits. Look at where we’re going from here, I can imagine $25 per for SBD can you?

I can imagine $250 when the Facebook exodus finally happens!!

cheers

@greencross

Now I see dookie's head! LOL
