RE: About Dante and his "Divine comedy" / part 2/

in #godflesh6 years ago

Dante wonderfully colorfully and realistically described hell and its inhabitants. Many of the author's contemporaries said that he personally went and visited the Underworld and that is why he was able to describe so accurately the heat, torment and horror that is happening there.
A realistic description of torture is so addictive that at some point you begin to see yourself among sinners. Detailed descriptions in every circle of all punishments are fascinating and frightening. Still contemporaries of the author drew maps of hell, clearly showing the fall of people. In some editions of the Divine Comedy, you can find many illustrations that clearly show the horror of the 9 circles of Hell.
Dante is a genius who has revealed all human vices. Everyone is waiting for a punishment commensurate with his crimes. And how was Dante right when he placed traitors in the very last round of Hell. After all, if you think about it, the most terrible thing a person can do is betrayal of those who believe in your heart. Deceive confidence, make a person suffer, destroy faith, always ask questions and find no answer.
After reading, somewhere in the depths of your soul you begin to believe that there is justice, even after death.
