Yes it is but Hawaii Residents are very prepared for disasters. The Lava flows fairly slow, it is the new explosions they have to be cautious of. They have all the current danger areas blocked off and loads of security and help.
Umm... That's good. Thank God they are prepared. :)
Well if it gets worse, a lot more people will be affected. There is a geo-thermal plant in the area. Also if the lava in the crater drops below sea level...it could spew rocks and ashes all around the island.
Well, let's hope it does not get worse. For the good of many people.
