Great job!
In the course of my interaction with some people, I found out that some folkloric beliefs, mostly dominant in the rural areas has it that, drinking beer due to its bitter taste can reduce the risk of diabetes. It sounds funny but true. What can you say about this please

Sort:

Alcohol is known to have a tendency of reducing blood sugar levels which is why it is not advised to be taken in on an empty stomach cause you may end up becoming hypoglycaemic and in the case of ur scennario bitter beers tend to hv no or very little sugar content hence this property is accelerated, the whole thing about diabete is spike in blood sugar levels especially for type 2 hence if this effect is taking course over time then yes i believe it would reduce reduce the risk of becoming diabetic however take note that everything done not done in moderation leads to bad things happening, alcohol can be addictive so i won't recommend that as a form of diabetic prevention measure since it can also damage your liver in the long run and it increases fats in the system which can also lead to high blood pressure.
