I think there's many extremes in every culture, in Japan as well. I do know that if they want to do something, they will do it very well, almost to perfection.
For example like cleaning, I would say its the best in the world.
In film, anime, they're also the top. So also for the AV industry, and Otaku side, they are also at the extreme ends of 100%. That's my personal feel ahaha.
