RE: Rep. Brad Sherman calls for Crypto Ban; the opening salvo of the most epic financial war begins

in #informationwar5 years ago

Even though we are all very impatient with crypto and feel it is moving slowly, it is actually moving at lightspeed in comparison to government and central banking. We can dodge ten times faster than anything they can throw at us.

As you say, crypto can't be banned, not only because greedy billionaires are already committed, but because decentralization has no head to cut off.

Make it illegal for banks to process the transactions and people will buy mining equipment or pay with cash underground. The next phase is paying people directly with crypto when they add value to the platform. That's where projects like Steem kick in.

It will be interesting to see just how badly they start to flip their shit when they realize there isn't much they can do. A lot of them are having their "Bitcoin to zero" dreams dashed at this very moment.

I feel like I've been waiting for this moment for the past 50 years. A friend of mine who I used to talk to about all the political trends from Reagan, through 911 and Arab spring passed just before bitcoin peaked in Dec 2017. Unfortunately the last time I spoke to him was just before he bought a new house in summer 2016 and I never got the chance to explain bitcoin (I got in when bitcoin was at about 1K in Feb 2017). He would enjoy seeing this.
