My first post - problems and questions
My name is xxxx, I am xx years old and I live in xxxx. After 2 years I finally managed to sign up on Steemit. I heard about the project before the official launch but for one reason or another didn't sign up until now.
So as I tried to write my first post, I wanted to use the built in editor to format the text. But it was impossible to write. The editor is deleting every word I type after I hit the Space bar. I don't know why this is happening and I hope someone to help me. I already asked for help on Steem chat but didn't get any response.
I am using Google Chrome and Android 8.1. I am thinking to download one of the Android apps but I'm not sure if it's safe. Can we trust Steem Connect and if yes, which one is the official app? I see there is eSteem Legacy, eSteem v2, Steemion, Partiko etc.
The other thing I want to ask is keys and passwords. I understand we have 1 Master key and 3-4 passwords used for different reasons. Can someone explain it please?
Finally, can we change the password to something we like or the system will always generate one for us?

Oh no hate. Totally fine if you want to do that, I was just pointing out that it was a copy & pasted message. You may get better results if you personalized the messages at least a little bit so it's a bit more related to the original post.

Hi Ond, I believe you can use Discord to get in contact more with people to help you with these questions, but yes, you can always trust SteemConnect, and it seems that for now Partiko is winning in the most used app for steemit (I haven't looked at user numbers to compare, but most, including myself use Partiko.)
I have this problem before that you say about the words deleting but not online, nor on an app, sometimes just on Microsoft word etc, it must be something that we do.. still confuses me to this day when that used to happen regularly and it was very frustrating.
In regards to passwords, we have an owner key which doesn't have to ever be entered into a website to log in, which reduces the chances of someone being able to steal it. We can use out active key to log in with instead and to post with, although I just use my main key but have it saved with my username on Brave Browser so I'm also not entering it in every time.. Hope this helps..Like I say many Steemians are on Discord app
