No...Irish, French and German.. But "Brave Heart" is my favorite movie of all time, and the wife and I are seriously thinking of moving to the Isle of Ulva when that all gets sorted.

Those little Isles are beautiful. I spent some time on Iona, just across the water from Ulva. Very isolated, if that's your thing.

Ha, I think you overestimate the extent of globalist thought.
Most pro-independence voters are young people who believe the EU to be some kind of benevolent mother state. Anything with Scottish/British connotations is automatically bad among them, while anything foreign, global or collectivist is seen as trendy, sophisticated and progressive.
In my more hopeful moments I think it's just the same old story: those young people will eventually grow up and grow out of it.
