Owe bist Steemit...

Thort I had better do the #introducemyself bit first, before I begin upon this Great Migration from the saccharine-sweet precipice of FaceSpook, and toward the 'new frontiers' of the [[[SKYNET]]] crypto-blockchain - taking, of course, a brief moment to enjoy the fragrant Steem of complicity as it wafts from my rambling deposits.

So, yes - I have my reservations in helping to build the blockchain botnet, and whilst I no longer have any desire to comprehend the exact nature of this particular technocratic funeral pyre, I recognise well those parallel self-destructive threads which have run alongside this great experiment we call 'civilisation' - which we may not yet survive. I have, for the most part, rejected my state-suggested trajectory as 'serf of techne' and elected instead to run wild and free through the endless forests of possibility.

OK time to #introducemyself

My name is Thom Forester, and I am first and foremost a Forester of the Dean, where I work towards bioregional independence, the revival of our ancient traditions and the genesis of a new 'woodland economy'.

You can find more about our fledgling independence campaign here...
http://wum.land

I'm also involved in bringing low-impact planning policy across into England from Wales, which would allow folks to return to the self-sufficient 'good life' enjoyed by their ancestors, before the clearances/ enclosures forced people into dependency on urban wageslavery. You can find more about that project here...

http://cabiners.wum.land

... and to learn more about the history of the clearances/ enclosures, with an emphasis on our local history of resistance and land-rights struggles see our history page, below.

I am a true and faithful adherent to the natural lore of anarchism, and I am also proud of my heritage and roots - as such I was booted from the urbanarchist clubhouse for 'wrongthing' and for making their 'space' (territory?!) somewhat unsafe; I am an (inter-)nationalist and secessionary campaigner fighting for the rights of all regional communities and endemic cultures the world over to choose the path of political and economic independence, and to pursue their own destiny. I'm a British land-rights campaigner, an angry peasant farmer, a 'dirty squatter' and I hail from one of Britain's few remaining lines of hunter-gatherers; I am a poet and metaphysical malcontent.

This account/ blog will explore topics so 'diverse' as to justify the formation of the follow list...

Anarchy : philosophy, theory, practice, history, 'occupied' projects and places, reclaiming anarchism from the soyboys.
Cultures : emphasis on the plural, on celebrating true ethnocultural diversity and it's ecological important.
Dialects & dialectics : Fhuk yer BBCpeetch, oi dame thic werl a brung bak owr rootid twangs avore istory d'end, mynd!
Ethnosphere : with such triggerhappy phraseology as "ecological and ethnic diversity are wholly one and the same."
Folklore : meaning "what is learnt by, and of, the folk" - I'll be sharing some of my own Forest folk traditions & stories.
Forestry : mostly as it related to the UK, and land-rights/ use/ folk-history - also some amateur agroforestry stuff.
Globalism : why it's cancer and must be cut-out of every place-people by a new radical, secessionary inter-nationalism.
History : Ancient history, specifically orientated around European pre-history and Neanderthals; also land, law & lore.
Inter-Nationalism : As 'inter-' implies plural, meaning 'among, between, betwixt' - "Separatists of the world, unite!"
Language and Etymology : On the (hidden) origins of words, the casting of spellings and linguistic esotericism .
Nationalism / Tribalism : On the natural and self-evident truth of man, as a group-organism - 0% racism, 100% identity.
Neanderthals/ neo-anderthals : you're gonna have to figure this one out for yourself my fellow snow monkeys.
Poetry : I'll post my poetical musings and also share and possibly talk about some of my favourite poets and works.
Primal Health and Politics : exploring or natural (ketogenic) diet in terms of health, politics & regional eco-economics.
Regionalism vs. Globalism : or more accurately Empire vs. Tribalism - the REAL (anti-) 'political' divide of our times.
Soil : "civilisations rise and fall on their soils" so stick around if you wanna know your mycorrhizal from your glomalin.
Survivalism : I'll offer some tips and tricks for navigating your way through the collapse of industrial civilisation.
Terra-ism : as the Dubya Vey said "you're either with us or you're with the terra-ists" - and Terra knows which side I'm on!
Wild foods : I'm an avid forager, which I will probably write about and post pictures of my foraged goodies, too.

I've probably missed a few things out, and other interests/ topics may emerge as time passes - but I think that just about covers the intended breadth and depth of this yher blog.

Warning : not for the feint of heart, nor the ideologically afflicted - enter at your own risk, vor yher be Dragons!

Waeshael and lechyd dda to you all!

"Man observes the world through the lens of his knowledge,
and sees thereby the feather magnified but the whole image in distortion."

“Language is the house of Being. In its home man dwells.
Those who think and those who create with words are the guardians of this home.”
— Martin Heidegger.

“The struggle between ‘yes’ and ‘no’ can easily take place on a wrong foundation. For instance, a fanatical belief in some or other idea, or the ‘fear of sin,’ can evoke a terribly intense struggle between ‘yes’ and ‘no,’ and a man may crystallize on these foundations. But this would be a wrong, incomplete crystallization. Such a man will not possess the possibility of further development.” – George Gurdjieff

I'm for smaller local or state governments as opposed to federal or international governance, government, central control, centralization, and that is why i have Bitcoin and that is why we come to Steemit and Gab and Minds and Bit Torrent and Ubuntu and other things and I love what you are writing, I'm Oatmeal, and I'm for family first values, local communities first, as in tribalism as you say it, and free markets, speech, societies, for individualism and for collaboration.

Good to hear from you Joey, I think we're always going to need forms of 'higher level' decision making, even perhaps an inter-national level - the important thing, at least to my mind, is the the constituent parts (nations) are sovereign, right down to the smallest folk unit - so power begins in the home, and 'trickles up' through any 'higher' level of organisation. The local government structure, especially the smallest (Parishes in the UK) level seems to offer a proven model/ system for this - many of the 'parish' boundaries in the UK have remained almost unchanged for the last thousand years - which proves how effective the 'human-scale' level of organisation can be. As we transition away from centralised economy and politics and re-localise our production/ reclaim our sovereignty, I think this level of 'government' will become increasingly relied upon for conflict resolution/ decision making. I tried GAB -it's a little too 'amphibious' for my liking- not broad enough in it's political watershed, making it a bit like an ideological echo-chamber... not that the FaceSpook algorithms are any better. Nice to link up anyway and I look forward to reading your future posts.

Gab and Steemit differ in design, in a few things, currently, but politically, it can be the same. So, Gab can be an echo chamber maybe but it does not have to be and the same thing with Steemit and other places too. Anybody can join Gab and Steemit. I'm on Gab too. I'm not on Gab to get but to give. Same thing with Steemit. So, maybe if great people are not on Gab or Steemit, maybe that would limit us, limit the time we spend on Gab. Like you said, maybe we would not like it. But for me, I'm not going to avoid Gab just because there are the wrong people there. Maybe not the best people. maybe not my kind of people. But that is life. We will always be around people we do not like.

Welcome to steemit Thom, it can take a while to get going but stick in there, make sure to engage with others on their blogs that interest you so that they know you are here. I look forward to what you can bring to the platform. I have included you in my weekly post re introducing new steemians. any questions let me know.
