Review: Huami Amazfit Pace [Ita/Eng]

Da buon appassionato di tecnologia a 360° e sport qualche mese addietro, precisamente a Novembre 2017, non ho più resistito e ho preso la decisione di acquistare uno smart-watch.
Guardando un po' i vari modelli sul mercato il problema principale era rappresentato dalla totale incongruenza nel rapporto qualità/prezzo/caratteristiche, in linea di massima infatti, non esisteva niente di piacevole alla vista che costasse non più di 120€ e con caratteristiche adeguate alle mie esigenze.

Scansionati così i vari Smartwatch proposti dalle più famose case produttrici virai sull'alternativo mercato cinese che si rivelò interessantissimo, offrendo questo gioiellino che tutt'oggi utilizzo giornalmente.
Inizialmente ero restio all'acquisto di un prodotto sprovvisto di garanzia e proveniente dalla Cina, tuttavia la possibilità di aggiudicarmelo a soli 79€ per il Black Friday mi convinse definitivamente, considerando anche la differenza di circa 200€ con gli smartwatch di stessa fascia più blasonati.

Looking a bit at the various models on the market, the main problem was represented by the total inconsistency in the quality / price / characteristics ratio. There was no good product that cost less than € 120 and with characteristics appropriate to my needs.

After scanning the various Smartwatches proposed by the most famous producers, I decided to check what the alternative Chinese market offered, discovering this little gem that I use every day.
Initially I was reluctant to buy a product without warranty and coming from China, but the possibility of winning it for only € 79 for Black Friday convinced me definitely, considering the difference of about € 200 with the smartwatch of the same range, more famous.

Huami è a tutti gli effetti un marchio Xiaomi, ben più famosa azienda che da poco ha anche sbarcato in Europa e presto aprirà il primo negozio in Italia. L'Amazfit Pace, oggi sostuito dall'Amazfit Stratos che tuttavia ha stravolto prezzo e design in maniera poco fortunata, è il top di gamma di una serie di "wearable" incredibili per prestazioni e rapporto qualità prezzo.

Amazfit ha un diametro di 45 mm e la parte inferiore in plastica con la cassa in ceramica lo rendono leggerissimo nonché davvero piacevole alla vista, sopratutto se accoppiato con un cinturino metallico che lo rende davvero elegante, diversamente da quello in gomma in dotazione che dona un aspetto particolarmente sportivo. Per non farsi mancare niente inoltre è protetto da un vetro Gorilla Glass.
Personalmente anche utilizzandolo per giocare a calcio, correre, andare in palestra e giornalmente come orologio da polso non sono ancora riuscito a scalfirlo.
Inoltre lo schermo, pensato per le attività all'aperto, non soffre la luce, anzi da' il meglio al sole soffrendo al buio dove tuttavia interviene la luminosità automatica.

Pace remains the top of the range of a series of incredible wearables for performance and value for money.

Amazfit has a diameter of 45 mm and the lower part in plastic with the ceramic case make it very light as well as really pleasing to the eye, especially if coupled with a metal strap that makes it really elegant, unlike the rubber one that gives a particularly sporty appearance. In order not to miss anything, it is also protected by Gorilla 'Glass.
Personally also using it to play football, run, go to the gym and daily as a wristwatch I have not yet managed to scratch it.
In addition, the screen, designed for outdoor activities, does not suffer from light, rather give the best to the sun suffering in the dark where the automatic brightness intervenes.

Amazfit è certificato IP67 contro acqua e polvere, quindi non potrete nuotarci in mare ma io l'ho utilizzato per errore in piscina senza romperlo quindi è sicuramente affidabile contro il sudore, la pioggia e sotto la doccia.
Non mancano il WiFi, il Bluetooth per collegarlo al telefono o alle cuffie wireless, un ottimo GPS e 4 GB di memoria da utilizzare per le watchfaces (che sarebbero i temi disponibili per personalizzare l'interfaccia praticamente infiniti), la musica e salvare le varie attività che il dispositivo monitora.
L'amazfit è anche fornito di un buon sensore per il monitoraggio del battito cardiaco che personalmente trovo abbastanza preciso. Testandolo con accessori da centinaia di Euro in palestra la differenza è di pochi battiti mentre probabilmente perde qualcosina, anche se niente di eccessivo, durante la corsa se non è stretto bene anche a causa del sudore.

It is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth to connect it to the phone or wireless headphones, an excellent GPS and 4 GB of memory to use for the watchfaces (which would be the themes available to customize the interface and are practically infinite), the music and save the various activities that the device monitors.
The amazfit is also equipped with a good sensor for monitoring the heartbeat that I personally find quite accurate. Testing it with accessories from hundreds of Euros in the gym the difference is a few beats, while probably loses a little, even if nothing excessive, during the race if it is not tight even because of the sweat.

Per quanto riguarda la batteria il Pace non ha rivali, anche 10 giorni senza notifiche (whatsapp, mail etc.etc.) e sino a due giorni utilizzandolo al massimo delle possibilità. In caso di utilizzo del GPS e del sensore cardiaco l'autonomia è di ben 12-15 ore, quindi se non siete atleti olimpici difficilmente non completerete la sessione d'allenamento in tranquillità.

Lato smartphone Huami fornisce diverse applicazioni per monitorare le attività svolte tra le quali la fondamentale "Amazfit Watch" e l'app MiFit.
La prima controlla praticamente ogni aspetto dell'orologio e tiene conto di tutte le attività, inoltre automaticamente salva nel cloud tutto ciò che l'orologio monitora così ovunque possiate recuperare i vostri dati.

I più famosi esperti del settore ne parlano come un dispositivo must-have e io non posso che confermare. Inoltre se il prezzo piuttosto che scendere è salito logica impone che le vendite nonostante il lancio del modello successivo non ne hanno risentito. Huami stessa ha da poco annunciato che implementerà funzioni quali la misurazione dell'ossigenazione e altre attività sportive per ora esclusiva del modello successivo.
