Where you can Find us
@newbieresteemday - This is our primary account, and the one that does the majority of the resteems, although most members will resteem a few post. On our home blog page you will find on the banner the link to our discord chat room.
@newbiegames - This is our page that we utilize to highlight and support games and challenges, and where we occasionally run our own games and challenges for the not just the new users, but for all users of steemit. We try to feature games and challenge that do not have overly complicated entry rules, and mos of the games do not charge even a vote to play, it is if you have the Vote Power available always appreciated to vote on a game you are playing in, as most of the smaller games rely on the post pay out for the awards pool.
Discord Chat Room - Here is where you can go to find all kinds of help, or to just find someone to chat with. We have a lot of information and assistants rooms on the left hand room links, and a post promotion dropbox that people use to find new content from members to look over.
I continue to promote @apolymask Information Finding Contest. I have met so many nice people and helpful people, and some pretty damn fine quality postings and conversations through those postings. It does not matter that you may have different thoughts and opinions, people are still very respectful of your right to think how you want to think.
Current rounds: Right now none, the tie breakers are finishing up, the judging is still in process, and soon the start of the final 16 rounds.
IFC Song
The beginning of IFC (Information Finding Championship), and Newbieresteemday initiative, were very close to each other, and I have been a member and a participant in both since the start up of each. I have truly enjoyed myself, and met some wonderful people, and had many good conversations with both groups.
"The Marketplace" is an offshoot of IFC and the IFC discord chat room. We have several game/challenge participants, over 30, and a lot of followers of the games. In the IFC Discord room we have passed 100 or more users, and the numbers still keep growing. We have pretty much built/grown generically a "Community". All communities need a place to shop, and relax, so there was a desire among the community residents for "The Marketplace".
If you need something, an Item, or a service, why not think of placing a "Want Ad" in Thursday's "The Marketplace Weekly Flyer". It gets issued each and every Thursday just drop a want ad in the weekly-flyer room, and I will place it in the Flyer. Each Thursday I profile one of the vendors.
@dustsweeper, I will continue to remind people of @dustsweeper. I have been signed up to Ashers Curation league for several months now. Until last week I had never even made a dent in league one. That is the one that he lets us know how well we are doing in obtaining curation rewards. (That's the reward you get for voting on someone's post/comments). Since I mostly visit new users and vote their content and comments, and most of the comments and votes I receive are from new users, I do not get many rewards due to the dust vote level. @dustsweeper has leveled the playing field, so people go visit invest in yourself, and those that invest in you. Turning Dust to Gold. Reading of the comments will give you a lot further insight into the program.
So that pretty much concludes my weekly @Newbieresteemday post. So if you are new, have a really nice post, want a vote, or a resteem let me know. If you have a post or want help with formatting your post let me know. There are still a lot of people that are willing to help, just because they care. I would like to upvote a lot of post, but I will only resteem 1 maybe two post. Your post does have to have some quality to it, and as a reminder "if it is plagiarized I will mute you", I have had to do that recently.
My Little Side Notes
Everything above is pretty much static information. Still a slight pause in the IFC as votes are tallied and preparations are made for the finals. (wish me luck).The IFC song is up for consideration in @soundlegion's Steemit V Compilation CD they do. I'm still pretty stoked about that. @charisma777 has entered a CD cover in the design portion of the contest, Here is the contest link for both the song and the cover.This was the link I asked and was approved for enty on. Here is the latest link with the current CD covers being considered. Her (@charisma777) cover is great, really harkens back to the days of yore, (well at least to the 70's and Grateful Dead era). Once again wish us luck.

I saw that, and it was their vote that sent me over the top and made my REP level 57. I was happy about that. And since with the price of steem going down down down, and my vote value following suit, she did not have dustsweeper, so now she does. and my slightly less than dust level vote is no more dust level for them.
Congratulations on the REP 57! It's such a slow increase now compared to the 30's and even 40's, isn't it?

It is, and it is a real win for the redfish, a wonderful prize for them, I put out a comment on the new hive post letting them know I would gift 3 people, no takers yet, charisma777 also pledged 3 dust gifts to people so far no takers. I know not everyone that belongs to the hive have a dust account, but I did stipulate if they had more sbd than me I would not do it. I must be the most broke person in the hive, who would have thought. Oh well. still a few days for people to comment.
haha that's crazy. Were you gifting dust gifts too? I wonder if charisma777 would be interested in pledging that to the other 'random picked' winners in @thedarkhorse's contest if there's no takers ?
I'm going to give it one more day, then pull the offer, I dropped the ofer in the chat room, and no responses there either. So you may hear from me tomorrow after noon, I don't know why people are not responding, maybe I really am the poorest person SBD wise.
I could joke about it, but your question is a good one, and I'm not sure what the answer is either! You know where to find me if you get no takers though :)

Voted, commented, and resteemed. While I was on your page, I looked at the comments you have made, not to read them, to see the vote levels you recieve on them. I would very strongly suggest that you look into @dustsweeper and send in one SBD, on a quick count I saw 7 comments of yours that received votes, that are not going to give you a payout. They did not exceed the dustvote level, so neither you nor the vote caster will receive any rewards. With a dustsweeper account deposit those votes would be lifted out of the ash pile and you would get the intended reward, and the caster would get a small curation reward.

It can be difficult to get started, and to find programs like this that actually help people. It seems like you are paying and may get nothing in return but it is one of the best programs out there. When you have time steembasicincome is another one to look at. But it takes a lot of careful reading.
Yes, thanks for letting me know about this one. And I do hold a share in steembasicincome, but it gives me an upvote of very less value. Hope dustsweeper will help me with increasing that value from now on.
Dustsweeper is a great companion to sbi votes, it does not care what kind of vote it is, it will lift all dust votes. they do have measures in place to prevent gaming the system such as multiple low value self upvotes. But for real votes it will lift them all. I get a few sbi votes and they do get uplifted. I think that is something that the folks at SBI need to let people know, how many shares they need to get a vote that is not dusted away. But like most organizations, they believe it is up to the user to understand all the rules.
