Review of Electric Vegan, Ardee Street, Dublin
We had dinner at the Electric Vegan this evening and if I tell you we're going back for brunch tomorrow it'll give you an idea of how good it was. We shared a falafel sandwich and a wild rice wrap and both were scrumptious.
Everything is vegan and organic, all homemade right down to the ketchup.
The owner is a delightful guy with a huge amount of knowledge, which he seemed happy to share, about nutrition and the effects of different foods, so you get food for the body as well as plenty of food for thought!
No wonder they were voted Best Vegan Burger in Dublin by veganinireland.com
All this and the coffee is delicious as well.
Since we went back for brunch this morning, I thought I'd do an update.
I ordered the full breakfast which consisted of an omelette, sausage, mushroom, beans and toast

Again, everything is homemade with an emphasis on providing not just meat substitutes but food that is healing for the body. Tasty fare indeed and both of us left happily satiated but not stuffed. Another 5 stars for Electric Vegan.

The stuff of nightmares indeed and unfortunately too many ill-informed people ready to buy into this frankenfood deception.
That is why I am compelled to share this information. I hope this goes far and wide to reduce the numbers of the ill-informed.
yeah what happened to that avatar? I don't know about cute but it was unique that's for sure. Hey this joint looks pretty good but how can they have vegan omelets? I mean what are they made of? But the food looks great so I'd definitely try it.
I bet it was very interesting talking to the owner. Is that place expensive?
Not too expensive really. At dinner last night we had 4 main courses and 3 coffees for 42 euro. There are vegan versions of everything even omelettes. This place uses only natural stuff and none of the chemical shit that often goes into commercial egg replacement products.
When you come over to visit, I'll be sure to take you there;)
I'd love to go see that place, it looks really nice and that price is good especially if it's a nice atmosphere.
Looks good, I must check it out. I am not vegan but it does look delicious. There are many places in Dublin now that cater for all tastes.
Don't worry about not being vegan. They allow meat eaters in as well;)
