Poems are Hard for Me !
Poems are an accumulation of some Beautiful Lines that Tell you a short Story. But Unfortunately, I fail to Understand Most of them.
This is something that I have always struggled with. Even when I was in School it was my Teacher that used to explain the Thought Process of a Poem. The only thing that I understood after reading any Poem is the overall Theme of the Poem. Is it about Love or is it about Betrayal.
It is not like I haven't tried to Understand but I have seen that Poems sometimes have a Deeper level of thought Process in their Lines.
So guys Do you understand Poems in it's Entirety?
Poetry is a very difficult subject, mostly the ancient one. If you take any ancient poem in any language, you might not understand the real meaning of it. Even the new ones can be written in a deeper level, were only poetry lovers can understand what it is about. I wasnt a fan of poems and even now I rarely read them. But yes some of them are really nice and take you to an other world where you experience everything, as it is real :)
I think poem is the the deep well.
A poet can explain his full life in his Some lines of poem.
So I think its difficult to understand Poems in it's Entirety

Poetry is very deep. Poetry is meant a lot with a short word. The poet presented his poetry very well with short words
Hello @arunava, yes, there are some that are not easy to understand. They almost always handle a discourse that is implicit, and that implied the most important part, what you have to try to understand.
You are right, but the poem may be just to demonstrate something you feel and try to locate the words well to express that feeling.
You can write to a loved one example your mom everything you feel for her rhyming what you write
it feels that way sometimes you know, each writer has different views on a piece.. poems are deep, its same with painting...it portrays the writers thoughts sometimes

i do realize some points but entirely meaning is hard for me to understand.
inspired by someone's poem I tried to write one.
i wrote 4-5 lines , posted on stemmit and almost quit.
