Day 258 | Waking Up

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog. I enjoyed it to the extend where I turned it into a year long challenge were I try to find a good balance between health, work and my personal life...

So one of the plans for this week is to wake up early and win myself some time. My going to sleep / waking up routine usually goes something like this.I rarely go to bed before midnight and never really stay up longer than 01.00. It doesn't usually take me long (5-15 minutes) before I'm actually asleep. I sleep extremely good and never wake u during the night unless I'm sick or somthing. Around 07:00 - 08:00 I wake up a first time but I'm still half asleep really. I alway go back to sleep for at least an extra hour. The 2nd time I wake up again with no alarm clock whatsoever I feel a lot more downy. I go to the bathroom, get back in bed with my laptop checking some of the latest news and such. once that's done I get onto this steemit account, make a suited cover picture, write my daily post and see what is up with everybody sometimes making some comment. By the time this is done it's usually around 10:00 already and I take a shower or a bath preparing my breakfast. (I'd love to hear what the waking up routine is from others here on Steemit)

Today I woke up 30 minutes early and it's currently 09:00, I went to bed around 00:30 after going to the late yoga class and watching some tv when I got back home. The idea this week will be to change my going to sleep hour along with my waking up hour while making the entire procedure of waking up a bit shorter.

Monday was a great start of the week where I managed to get quite some things done completing all the basic daily checkmarks!

Well the wake-up routine here depends on the kids.
During school time they are our alarm clock. When I am not up by 7 am the oldest already has prepared the breakfast table.
And then the rush starts. Making sure both have eaten enough, preparing their lunch boxes for school, preparing them for school and so on.
In the weekend it depends in the fact if they have an early football game or not. Which often results in more or less the same routine!
Imagine that I do have a morning temper and that our oldest has the same problem. This could results in some very nice (not) mornings!

Sleeping out doesn’t happen often anymore!

Reminds me when me and my sister used to be kids going to school. We also were the wake up clock for out mom. It also makes me realise how much of a comfort life I'm having :-)

I always feel more productive when I get up and get going early in the morning! Even on weekends I can usually only sleep until about 6/6:30. There are some days I'm up by 4:30 if I have early clients, so 6 actually feels like sleeping in. ;) I get anxious if I don't get things done early on, so I would much rather get up and get it done and then relax later on in the day. Everyone is a little bit different, though, so I hope you find what works best for you!

I guess a lot of it has to do with habit. I hope you are able to get in bed sleeping quite early. I've been reading and listening about the importance of sleep and getting enough of it and it seems far more important to get enough of a good night rest than most people realise. I guess with your healthy eating and active lifestyle sleep is not really an issue for you :-)

Habits are the key to just about every aspect of a healthy lifestyle right? I do have to go to bed early in order to get enough sleep, but this time of year it is pretty easy since it is dark by 6pm. I think last night I had the lights out before 9:30. The only problem is on the weekends if my boyfriend and I try to watch a movie it better be good or I tend to fall asleep on the couch!
