Vlog 209: Bittrex will open up account signups soon and will add USD trading!

in #life6 years ago (edited)

I read an article in the Coin-telegraph this morning stating that Bittrex will open signups again soon and will introduce a USD trading pair.

Bill Shihara, CEO of Bittrex, confirmed during a Unikrn Radio podcast with Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood on Jan. 31 that the Bittrex exchange will be opening up USD trading to the majority of its customers.

Shihara also added that user signups for the exchange would open again soon, but there will be additional requirements for new users, like minimum trade deposits. According to Shihara, this ensures that the new users are “people that understand what they are doing.” source.

This is great news.

Bittrex at the moment is the only exchange where you can deposit and withdrawal STEEM without trouble. Poloniex doesn't work at all and Binance won't allow withdrawal at the moment.

New E-steem release v1.5.1.

Witness @good-karma released a new version of his app Esteem. Esteem has been running very stable on my phone since the last version. Give it a go! here.

I am a witness with our developer group @blockbrothers for the Steem blockchain. If you want to support us I would appreciate your vote here.

We build Steemify a notification app for your Steemit account for iOS.

very nice...

What is the best exchanges besides binance for non-us tho?

Kucoin, poloniex, and Mercator is good for non US.

i am too much sad about watching how the rate is dying of sbd and steem

Dear @exyle! i get this habit to listen to your dtube entries each day! It's a good summary of what has happened or can happen at the moment. and you keep it simple, which is important for people like me - who are content creators, but who do not fully understand all the investing, up&downwards trends etc. i'm learning in order to be an independent investor. And your posts helps a lot! so thank you! :)
I also have a question to you. I know you are not a fortuneteller :) but... do you think that in the internal market 1 steem will continue to cost more than 1 SBD or it will come back to lower level? what indicators should i rely on? thank you again! (ps. I'm upvoting myself cause i would really like you to read this:) this way it won't probably get lost in vain;)) cheers, kasia :)

Hi, and thank you for your nice words! As for your question. Long-term I believe STEEM to be way more valuable than SBD. So, long-term I would personally always invest in STEEM and not SBD.

Short-term is much harder to tell. We have seen some crazy pumps in the SBD out of nowhere and this can happen again or not. This is impossible to tell.

If you are unsure what to do, I would recommend selling SBD gradually for STEEM (or other crypto or fiat). Just a fixed amount per day.

This way you will establish a nice sell average. You won't have maximum profits or gains but it takes the guessing part out of the game. I hope this helps.

@exyle! thank you so much for your reply! i really appreciate that! :) I see that in general you are a fan of doing things gradually, without all this stress and tension linked to more extreme strategy! :) yes, i'm investing a lot in Steem, all my income actually.:) I have never cashed out, but i will have to at the end of February (we all have bills to pay;)), so i was wandering if i should leave some SBD or not power up all steem. But i know that it is so hard to tell, as the market changes drastically all the time... Thank you anyway! :)

nice post. thats pretty cool to know. thanks for sharing.
resteem and upvote

this is a great story This way you will establish a nice sell average. You won't have maximum profits or gains but it takes the guessing part out of the game. I hope this helps

This is why I love Bittrex , never had a problem ever with Steem and SBD on there . Now only if we could transfer from there to our bank account , that would be perfect

Great news, my friend and the fact that the Bittrex will expand its functions can only please! On the other hand, it's bad that other exchanges do not cope with Steem exchange yet, there would be competition and the price would probably be higher! Thank you Mark for the great news!

This is great news .We need more exchanges to pair alts against fiat currencies, all these alts are way to tied to BTC and it creates problems when BTC is slumping or having a string of bad news.

Exchanges slowly transitioning to USD would finally solve the current Tether hysteria too and no one would fear because of another crash when USDT will go away.
