Showing Ezzy and Rea the windmills of Kinderdijk and visiting Markthal for food and a beer.

in #life6 years ago

@Rea and @ezzy from London are in the Netehrlands for a visit!

After everyone got up this morning we went with my car to Kinderdijk.

Kinderdijk is a very famous place in the Netherlands because you can see many windmills there.

When we arrived we were greeted by double rainbow, all the way, across the sky ;)

It was going to be a good day.

It ended up a little bit colder than expected because of the wind. Rea and Bianca were freezing so we left the place a little earlier than planned.

To warm up we went to a place called Breeka. It's an old former truckers cafe but now modernised.

We ordered a late lunch. I had my favorite, just eggs with ham and cheese. Bianca and Rea had Flammkuchen which sort of is a German pizza and Ezzy had a Bun with warm meat.

After we were so full of food and still a bit tired from the late night grill session that we went back home to chill for a bit. The girls had another nap and I played some more Streetfighter 5 with Ezzy. At around four we made our way to Rotterdam to visit the Markthal.

These are Dutch waffles with caramel in between. I bought one for them to try.

It appears Ezzy loves raspberries. I did not know that so when we crossed the smooth bar he had to get one.

I think Bianca was already a bit sad that they were going to leave tomorrow.

We had a beer at my favorite store in the Markthal. It's called the World of Beers and has more than 500 beers to choose from. I went for this Bourbon infused one. It was awesome.

I will miss this guy (and Rea) when he has to go back tomorrow. We already had so much fun together in a short time. I will always be grateful to steemit for making it possible to meet him through this platform.

It is very nice to see how you take care of your friends.
Steemit is truly innovative.
Keep on steemit.

The double rainbow brings back the memories from "the good old days" of memes :))

I love that video :)

@exyle I had to Fully UP vote this post because this is what STEEMIT is all about to me. It is being able to form NEW FRIENDSHIPS and Support those that interact with us in our lives. What a great way to get to see different areas that are shared with us.........

Very true words @stokjockey. @exyle has changed my perspective of steemit. I never believed people could get this close through steemit, and this mindset made my mind closed towards relationship building. But because of @exyle, @ezzy and @rea, my mindset has been redefined. I now look towards having a true friendship like this through steemit. My steemit journey becomes changed as I now have a new look at the steemit experience, and one day I'll be sharing my own little steemfest just as @exyle has done. Thanks and God bless steemit.

@gabrielinnocent Thank You for your Beautiful Words and Yes I believe a lot of us will meet in person because of STEEMIT.......May you have a Blessed Week

I consider this an incredible place and am very grateful for it.

Oh yes @exyle, your communication continues in a positive mood. I am very happy for you and Bianka my friend, because you are hospitable hosts and you receive your guests very well, visit many interesting places in the city and spend an evening with a bottle of good wine! Well done and have a great rest!

Sweet double-rainbow to go with that doublebock

Why is there a giant neon tree behind the market? Surely it's too early for Christmas!?

Not in the Netherlands.

I guess it's a drawback to living in the 'states. It annoys people a bit when shops start putting up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving (the 3rd Thursday in November). 😉

Love your blogs! Caught myself a double rainbow aswell yesterday (check my post) all the way in the Achterhoek, what a beautifull day it was indeed ;)

wow seems like you had lots of fun its great to see some really awesome pics thanks for sharing your experience :D

When you said they all be go tomorrow I was like ow!, I going to really miss them, because you have really have good time with them and a great shoot too.

But I know one day you will still meet again, and have more fun.
I really enjoy you blog see them around and you how guys have been rocking things. Please send my regards to @ezzy and @rea, and I wish them safe trip back home.
