What a way to start the party. The mayor's tie?! Is there a story to that one?

I understand, but the real mayor seems to have a rope, to hang him, instead of a tie. Looks creepy :)
it is the symbol of the city, we were instructed by 'karel the big one' because we did not pay city taxes in the Middle Ages
