Do you fear the feet?

Model and shoes made in Brazil

Actually maybe just the shoes.

I can’t confirm where the model wearing the shoes was made. However, she was almost born in Brazilian. That's a story for another day. I was sitting at the park and decided to take my shoes off. I was then reminded of my friend that hates feet. can not stand them. It grosses him out. It's a bit odd.

After that thought, my mind traveled.

This friend that hates feet has been all over the world with various bands managing their merchandise. Pretty sweet gig. I figured all the people he would meet would change his mind about feet, but it didn't. Never being one to wear any sort of open toe shoes. He wonders the world with some of the greatest musicians praying to God almighty that they will never be one of those flip-flop people. After three years on the job, it seems he found his career.

Dr. Seuss talks about the places our feet will take us.

I started to think about all the places I've been. All the people I've met. I've noticed that every year has been significant in one shape or form. As my Steemit birthday is exactly a month away. I wonder what or who will play a role in the next several years. This last year has been one of much crypto, much blogging, and much job searching. All are activities I used to hate and swore never to participate in. Look at me now

Where will you be a year from now? Have you read. "Happy Birthday to me! My one year review and reflections of the Steemit platform" post from choogirl? You really should, how long have you been on Steemit, what are some of the highlights of your Steemit journey?

Sort:

This is why you should never say never? ;D

Close to your friend that hates feet, I once knew a person that found them "embarrassing". I'm not sure how, but that was how they described it XD I wanted to say people are interesting but I find a lot of things interesting.

Hopefully you're still around for the next year or several :D

We are going to be hanging around each other a long time my Aussie Friend. I look forward to the day we meet face to face! :)

Feet are pretty handt, and flip flops are awesome. Why would someone hate them?

Ooh, I was wondering when you joined. I thought it was after me and I knew if was a little while before we found each other. Thanks for the shout out!

PS, your shoes are cute.

I joined in June I think and it was a bit before we found each other and steemit wouldn’t survive without us. We obviously have the best taste in shoes and stuff that makes this place worth sticking around for :)

Some people remain footless.

My brother is groced out by bird feet..., LOL

A phobia...

What would happen if no one had feet. That't would be some feat.

Bahahah, I see what you did there globo!!!

Phobia for feet? Thats a new one,i love the shoes though. I have been on Steemit for 4 months and its really been a ride. I have been a content creator for some years now, however the rewards i have gotten on steemit has been really encouraging.I have also learnt that you decide what it is you want out of the platform, i choose not to focus on all the negative things one sees but to focus on building friendships and a tribe

That’s awesome, keep your head up!

It is quite an interesting question because many like to think they know in a year from now where they are heading. Which is fine and all but not always an interesting way to think about it because it puts a limitation on where you expect to be in a single year. I have so many factors that will determine a single year let along a bunch of them that I honestly have no clue. I think where you could end up a year from now is only limited by your eagerness to take advantage of new opportunities and the amount of effort you can put in.

A friend of mine brought up the fact there are several companies now working on wanting to put a hotel into space and start leading the way to space tourism. One of their first questions was “will you be going.” There were shocked that my answer was a “no.” While there no hard dates set in motion for when such things will be a common thing I’m simply not taking enough risks or putting into enough effort to take advantage of such an opportunity. I really love outer space and would love to one day when it’s very common go there. However, I am most centrally not going meet the requirements or even working hard towards being able to do such a thing.

I think I would love to travel a little bit around the world one day however I doubt I’ll see myself becoming a traveling blog and seeing the world on the cheap. While there are many places around the world that would be interesting enough to visit and very inexpensive once you travel to those regens, again, I’m not setting myself up to do such a thing.

My feet could land in so many places. Perhaps in a year from now, they will just be able to rest on a nice bench somewhere enjoying the great weather. That bench could be anywhere in the world, meaning so many different things. Why I do enjoy such a thought. Then again they could just choose to remain where they are and enjoy the same old bench not too far from the unknown. As in our busy lives sometimes the boring answer is the one most desired.

I wonder where your feet would actually go if you took that first step. In your whole comment you mention possibilities, but not your reality. Implies that you are the biggest hurdle to those nice places you aren’t setting yourself up for. Or maybe your playing both sides but truely just desire the simpler joys in life. Life, at times, is the greatest when watching the sunrise at the beach.

It is true I am my own greatest limiting factor in both reality and my imagination. This year was rather planned and the road paved with failures and setbacks. Which is expecting to happen from time to time. Dealing with the cost of failure and not reaping the befits of success takes time to recover from. Which does lead one to further enjoy the simple things in life as extra time allows it. That is also why I think we take photos so we can remember past experiences that may never roll around again.

My next steps of something I’m working on that is more tangible is getting some one inch flats, seeds, and some dirt. Which is more than likely going be achieved in this or next week. I’ve already taken the first steps in acquiring a tomato plant and I even found an old camera which will for now meet those needs. This is of course in lieu with wanting to eat fresher and just have on occasions higher quality ingredients. Won't be a major impact on my overall health but its one of many small changes.

I have a group of friends who have always joked somewhat going to Reykjavik Iceland one day. Life gets in the way as it does. It is always just nice thinking that perhaps one day it could become a reality. Granted we all will be old men by than I reckon and unable go pub crawling and ice cave exploring. Most times you just have higher priority in life and the thought of such a thing on a bad day is all you really needed to make it more bearable.

Life is often like a train. Those on it for a week cramped up next to people who endlessly talk about the same thing to no end and have not showed in a week. Those looking at the passing train and thinking gosh I wish I had gotten on board in time for that one. Those that paid the little extra to get a roomette or better and enjoyed it with company. Finally the staff on board who keep the experience running. It cost nothing to dream it, a bad experience can ruin it, better planning can increase chance of enjoyment, and then there are those just looking to make a living at it. Most times we are just happy to look at the train passing by and thinking "that's nice."

We usually tend to eat the food sitting on the floor at our workplace , as my boss believe its good for digestion(or maybe his excuse for not buying a dining table haha)

That also makes us remove the shoes so that dust from shoes run our clothes .
A colleague of mine got similar phobia so much that he pays extra 5$ to eat in restaurant just because he cant stand feet. So he is suffering like 150$(including the office food he avoids everyday) just cause of this phobia.
Earlier I used to wonder why but this post told me why

Some people just can’t stand it. That’s an expensive phobia to avoid

I love the shoes, did you make them? I have never heard of a foot phobia. There are many phobias out there. That the most interesting one I have heard.

I did make it, my family bought in Brazil while traveling.

Upvoted. This post might be my Steemit Highlight as my 1st Steemit Birthday is next month too, oh the places you go, oh Silly Original Oatmeal, oh that is me hehe, oh Silly Mother Goose Rabbit, Trixs are for Kids, oh Silly Seuss and your cats in hats and green eggs & ham, oh Uncle Sam, oh the Happy Feet starring Penguins in Gotham.

Wow, shoes and models made in Brazil, creative, interesting, feet with no body, would love to see the rest of it haha, oh, my mother taught me at home in Oregon and I randomly selected Brazil to do a book report on when I was about 9 and it was interesting.

I wore flip flops in Vietnam. It grew on me as I was there for 5 years. At first, I wore sneakers but then started becoming Vietnamese. It is great to see things from other people's shoes and to walk in other people eyes, or do I have that backwards haha?

Hahah, you are one silly kid joey. If you post about Brazil, let me know would love to read you findings. Oh and happy almost steemit birthday:)

Different post... Nice

What do you mean different?
