My day job condition
Today was a very special day for me.
For the first time in a very long time I told my boss the problems with my day job and my expectations for the near future. It was building inside me for the last year since I got divorce and I've started to become alot less motivated at work. There was alot of reasons why I felt less motivated . When I was still married, life at home on the last two years weren't easy for me, I've always looked for places to get away and my job was always there to take my mind off of it. When I've finally divorced I was starting to see my job as it really is: too much overload, too much over time and not paying enough.
A couple of days ago, after I've accidentally heard a management meeting conversation that was about me, and my decrease in motivation I've finally decided that I need to make a move, so i've decided to write an email to my boss explaining the situation which was quite aggressive with me saying that Im about to give my resignations if nothing will improve and that Im going to take a one month holiday a week from now, just so I could relax and have time for myself to think straight. I also said that i wanted a better salary and a car but I emphasized that the most important thing is for my role itslef to change .
My boss responded with alot of excuses to why he cant fulfill most of my requests and we argued about it back and forth . I didnt care because I new it wont be easy and it is a challenge which I will have to find a way to overcome. The most important thing for me is that I've started a conversation and thing will be different from now on. I already felt it today.
Dont be afraid of changes, and dont be afraid to make changes. almost every change is for the better eventually
Never stay in place if you are unhappy there , if you hate your day job look for a better one - understand before why you unhappy and what you really want to do ...
and if you hold a nice amount of crypto which can provide you stable income leave your day job :)
In my profession, I deal with data backups. Every important thing in our life has to have a backup if it could be made. In this case, a second stream of income - I cant trust crypto alone.
"In my profession, I deal with data backups." - but do you really like it? is it make you happy? - if the answer is no think about change your profession
In working for online companies for ~10 years and in the last few years i hearing more and more about guys that left and move to different stuff sure they get less money but they are more relax and happy...
As ive said I started a process today, This alone makes me happy. but if my boss wont respond as i please in the next week or two, I will leave, I'll tell you that.
I think you did a great move i was in this situation in the past , first of all think about yourself and what make you happy
