Some other things to consider as well:

  1. Use a massage ball, baseball, or anything hard and round to roll the bottom of your foot on a regular basis to release any tension.
  2. Foam roll and stretch the posterior chain (hamstrings, calves, etc..) as they are all connected by fascia
  3. Find exercises to strengthen the tendon.
