Why will Cinderella's carriage turn into a pumpkin?
Hello everyone! Today in Russia and all over the world celebrate international women's day! What is happening today?
There is in chaos flower shops. Men snatch flowers at the speed of light, especially tulips. The revenue of flower shops today will increase to heaven! My husband this morning snatched a few bouquets for me and my mother, after standing in line for over an hour. Men, who do not have time or forgot to prepare a gift, run shopping, sweeping away and buying everything in their way! Women hear a lot of nice words today, compliments, husbands bring breakfast to bed. All of this says - women, today is your day! But wait, the 8th of March is over, come the 9. March, and what? Cinderella's carriage turn into a pumpkin??? Only the flowers will remind you of the festivity. Why is this happening? Why do you need a special day, when men give flowers, say compliments and give gifts?
Why the value of women is realized only on this day? Do all other days women don't deserve attention, love, help, compliments, flowers? It's a bit sad. I want to congratulate all women, mothers on this wonderful spring holiday and wish you to feel you loved and happy every day, not just on March 8!

Agreed! Everyday should be a women's day. Especially for those who became a wife and a mother! They sacrifice themselves every single day to their family and they deserve to be appreciated all the time.

The point is real men appreciate their women every single day and really don't need any special day like today to make her feel special or later her carriage turn into pumpkin the next day. But that doesn't change the fact that women all over the world shouldn't be celebrated today as today is their day. But only worthless men would let her woman feel worthless afterwards.

I wanted to post something similar and I found you...I have the same idea, why just today?
Because it s the only day when they suppose to do something for us, because all the other men do the same.
It s the group feeling - if someone does something,so will do the others.
And then forhet about the meaning of a woman in life...i m happily married, my husband offers me all kind of beautiful moments. I told me that i don t want him to buy me something... so he was just himself,didnt needed something else.
That's sweet ...but i will still take the gift this day next year cos it makes me feel like all the many women being celebrated. Getting married this year so looking forward to it next year...

It sounds like Russian men treat Women's Day more like Valentine's Day than here in Canada. It is definitely not a day I would ever expect flowers and treats! I love hearing how there are cultural differences in each holiday.
