Surprise Gifts
It's the 5th day of 2019, the 3rd day after my 39th birthday, and gifts are still arriving, mostly anonymously, at my house.
Wish lists were originally used by me as place holders. You know, places to stuck things I was vaguely interested in until I found the means, the money, or the motivation to actually get them. It was only fairly recently that I begin to use my wish lists properly, usually after prompting from my friends when I mentioned needing or really, really wanting something.
For example, this rice cooker. It's been on my list for months. My old one was beginning to die, and I began searching for something larger and more updated. Lo and behold, it arrived on my doorstep yesterday, with only a note wishing me a happy birthday and blessings in the new year.
Then this morning
I got like 40 pairs of socks, a book, more sketchbooks, vitamin C packets, and even some track/training gear for my eldest. All were on my wish list. And all arrived with no name of sender just the same birthday wish and new year's blessings.
Who are you, secret wish list deliverer? May you be rewarded for this deed.
Also, my parents sent me a new watch.
WOOT!
