Indeed, love don't hurt, it is the absence of it that hurt. In fact, the only healing to been hurt is love and more love.
True love is in action when individuals are allowed to do things that flow naturally out of them not what is enforced on them.
Thank you for the illustration as well, what works with animals also work with man.
