Today we will go to Bulgaria with you.
The central market of Sofia (Central Sofia Market Hall) is the main and oldest market in the capital of Bulgaria.
This is a beautiful old covered market in 3 floors, in the very center of Sofia, at the station "Serdika"
The market was opened in 1911 and became one of the most important shopping centers in the city center. This is the best work of the architect N.Torbov. The building was built in neo-renaissance style, with elements of neo-baroque and neo-Byzantine style.
The facade is decorated with the emblem of the city and a small clock tower.

Market area is more than 3200 square meters.
There are many shops with delicacies and traditional Bulgarian products.
Cosmetics from roses and various souvenirs.
Trade shops with delicious Bulgarian pastries and junk food.

In the center of the hall is a small fountain.
At the end of the hall, in front of the stairs to the 3rd floor, is a unique clock.
Watches created specifically for Hali.
The watch mechanism is unique, specially invented for this particular place.
We considered them for a long time.

Светло, уютно и очень чисто! Странно, зимой, когда у нас тут сплошь серость, грязь, нечищенные улицы, сразу бросаются в глаза вещи, которые летом и не заметил бы ))

I just love your market there! What an architectural beauty! I wish the United States had buildings like that for a market. It is like going someplace special, every time you walk into that building!
The inside looks very much like an upscale mall and so very clean with plenty of good to look at. Is it more expensive than a market that is on the outside? I was wondering if there is any kind of comparison that you have ever done.
I really like the watch/clock created specifically for Hali. What a unique piece that is. I have never seen anything like it. I noticed that the Bulgarian goods are sweets! Yes! That is agreeable with me. I do like your (food court* or place to eat. Nice. Clean and not too many people.
