The light was just perfect, so I managed to get a nice balance between the background and the subject, giving it that stark and dark look that I so much like, isolating the flower completely.

This poor one was all squashed in a supermarket stand, with hundreds of other plants around. Still managed to stand out from all that mess though.
So much that I decided to pull my phone out and take a couple of shots.
It might be a decaying Chrysanthemum, but I am not really sure.

It is autumn in my country so there are some lovely fading roses. Your shot is a lovely memory of summer for me.
I love fading flowers and to capture their decay process. Normally it looks great in B&W.
