One of the reasons that attract me photographically are the trees, and particularly their trunks. This photograph of yours records in a very expressive way the force of that matter, of that life sheltered in the tree in struggle with its deterioration. The effect of the light on it intensifies the vision of its texture, of its volume, the presence of those layers of bark that survive its ruin or its metamorphosis.
