THE DEER WERE OUT AND ABOUT TODAY
A little cold to be out for a stroll...
While driving back from the Post Office today, I came upon a couple of deer out in the open. One looked pretty good, but the other looked a little haggard. I'm not sure if it just had a tough time sleeping last night and still had "bed head," if it's making got some ticks or deer lice, or it it's actually sick.
Anyway, I tried to snap a few good photos of them first, and a couple turned out alright. Have a peek and see what you think!

hi @papa-pepper. deers are always cool to see, I have only seen them in the zoo over here in the UK.
I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a bit of gardening.
I have chopped down my privet bush and cleared the land where I am expecting to start my butterfly garden, the thing is I didn't really want to burn the waste privet, is there something that I could do with it in the garden? with out it been an eye saw. or would you just burn it and make way for the new.

The first thing that comes to mind is that ashes can have positive effects on the soil. Do you have a wood-shipper? It could make some good mulch maybe too.
I don't have a wood chipper no, so that rules that out, I can just burn it that is fine, I just wondered if there was anything else I could have done with it.

Nice pictures,it must be nice just seeing them on your everyday travels we have nothing like that in my local area although we do have many nice animals about. Thanks mike
On my travels throughout the week I see deer a lot of time. Below is a shot I was able to get last year. However you have to be quick, they are used to the sound of traffic but when they hear a car slow down they take notice and leave pretty quickly.
Gotta pack some heat. :)
