Consider that there are more bacteria in one human body, approximately than the grand sum of humans that have ever existed!
Human cells make up only 43% of the body's total cell count. The rest are microscopic colonists.

It's easy sometimes to think of ourselves as separate from the rest of nature, but we are in an ecosystem and connected to everything else around us, living and inanimate.
